So lately I’ve been starting to heal after taking the red pill and partaking in building model kits known as Gunpla: Gundam Plastic Models. For those of you who don’t know what they are they’re miniature robot model kits based off a Japanese anime franchise that’s been around since the 80’s. Now that my mind is healing I just want to move away from thinking about women, sex, or any red pill ranting in general. I’m also going to ignore any posts around here about women or feminism because I don’t want to reignite the red pill inside me. I’m not discarding my MGTOW principles either, I just want to heal and maybe share some pics of some of my models with you guys. Do any of you have any hobbies? Are any of you in the process of healing right now? What gives you peace of mind? Feel free to share…

I hate to break it to you, but what people call "love" is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. I have a few hobbies. Using your hobbies to take your mind off of things is not a bad thing. If you are putting together something, that is no different than putting together a puzzle. It is just something to do. And if you enjoy, then be happy about that.

RC flight! Fixed and rotary wing, I learned you can make a brick fly if it has a big enough engine, and a long enough runway! Ya just don’t want to hit anything with it!

Cool. I have a friend that is a fan of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion and he has build a few models, like Unit 01. I like anime but I need to watch some 80’s gundam anime. Any suggestions? The main hobby I like to do to heal emotionally is music. I play guitar and write songs. My strength training and walks also help empty my mind forget the troubles of the day.

    – prepper (reasonably I’m not prepping for apocalypse – war or zombies invasion) – learning resilience is very good for confidence.
    – bushcraft and urbancraft
    – DIY
    – freegan (mainly for DIY not for food)
    – video games of course
    – micro-aventures sometimes
    – blogging
    – sport (bodyweight exercises only)
    – geocaching
    – urban exploration (old factory)

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of a woman, nor ask a woman to live for mine.

MGTWFR, are you in the rust belt too? I’ve done the same thing countless times! Always use caution! I almost walked into an open elevator shaft! If the debris didn’t kill me, the freezing water flooding the the basement would have! It was a Victorian train station in Springfield, Mass. It was like walking through 1902, it had several dozen horse drawn cargo wagons and a few abandoned vehicles from the 1960’s, all built by man and animal muscle! Amazing!

I restore vintage and classic lawn and garden tractors. To take something that somebody has neglected and tossed away and bringing it back to like new condition is very satisfying, plus they are better built then the box store junk they sell nowadays. I find I am naturally mechanically inclined and fixing or assembling something makes me forget about lifes bulls~~~ for awhile and makes me happy.

I would get into urban exploration but there are a number of reasons why I won’t.

    1. With the introduction of all kinds of unpredictable people into society, these places are now a potential trap, either lived in by unsavory people, or used for illegal purposes. They are also watched by criminals and shivering Chihuahuas alike – the ones who call the cops on the first sign of anything out of the ordinary.

    2. Don’t know anyone else who actually does this stuff.

    3. Almost every abandoned structure I lived near is now gone, because of the march of development.

    4. After some of these I realize how dangerous it could be. When I was younger I didn’t think about these things.

Most of what I do now is search for jobs full time because it’s hard to have that many hobbies if you’re still living with your parents and have no money.

My hobbies as of now are:

-Reading Manga (I’ve given up anime for the most part because even the Japanese sub versions censor a lot of things that were originally in the manga

-Learning different programming languages (Mainly to become a full time open source developer and mobile developer

    -Exercising(Body weight exercising mainly)

-And on the weekends I go walk around on the Strip in Las Vegas and watch the crazy drunken tourists (I live about a 20 minute walk away from it)

Nothing wrong with that at all. An important part of redpill rage is moving past it. At least for me, it’s little by little. I may never be fully past it; kind of like a lifetime of healing & improvement, if you will.

    Hobbies include:
    – Latin dancing – salsa, bachata & tango classes & socials
    – Men’s style & fashion
    – Fitness – love hitting the gym
    – Nutrition – muscles are made in the gym, but six-pack-abs are made in the kitchen
    – Discovering new music

Sometime soon i’ll take a staycation to try welding, yoga & rockclimbing. My next trip out of town may be to ski or try ice climbing.

If building models works for you, go for it! I don’t think i’ve ever seen any Gunpla before – would like to check em out.

Hobby & healing. Spent a couple of hours yesterday visiting a family friend at a health care facility. The endless windowless corridors and rooms without a view .. it was so good to get back outside and enjoy the nice day.
So as I’m leaving the building and get to the car on the upper deck of the parking ramp .. I see a guy all alone in a grassy field far to the west of the medical center parking area flying a radio controlled model at low altitude. It looked like a yellow J3 Piper Cub and appeared to be about three feet in length. He was doing some touch-and-go landings along with some circular patterns. The engine was fairly quiet, yet I believe it was gas powered .. with the traffic noise around me it was actually hard to tell. I was a little surprised to see models being flown anywhere near where helicopters operate but he was flying very low and the helipad is maybe half a mile on the other side of the center.
The point is, after spending time in the claustrophobic buildings and hallways of that large complex .. it was actually very therapeutic for me to just sit on the edge of the concrete mount of a parking ramp light post and lean back and watch the radio controlled model for awhile.

Since I live in a major rust belt city now, I’ve shifted my main hobby from backpacking to mountain biking and bikepacking.

There are a lot of really great mountain bike trails around here. And the better shape I get in the more fun the trails are. Last year, at 53 years old, I entered my first ever bike race. It’s called The Iceman Cometh, and it was a f~~~ing riot! I normally like solitude when doing things outside, so riding in a race with 5000 other riders gave me pause. But as it turns out, those 5000 riders were all great people to spend the weekend with. I’ve signed up for this years race, too. And now that I’m MGTOW, and don’t waste time and money on dating or relations~~~s, I could afford to buy a kick-ass, full suspension mountain bike last summer. Riding this beast, a 2015 Specialized Camber Comp, is like riding a Porch, and has allowed me to enjoy mountain biking more than ever.

But sometimes I want to plod along and explore Forest Service roads and dirt farm roads for two or three days, and that’s where my fat bike comes in. She’s a 2013 Surly Pugsley, and she’s totally rigged for bikepacking. I ride aimlessly through the Huron National Forest, camp where I want, stop in small town dive bars and drink too much without worry, do some fishing, go for a swim. It’s not like being in the wide open west, but it’s good enough for weekend get aways. In the winter I throw my studded tires on her and go play in the snow. Hell, I even commute to work on her all year long.

And without a woman in tow on my trips, there’s no complaining, no nagging, no having to do every goddamned little thing for her, no having to be tour guide and entertainer. It’s just me, the landscape, the critters and the interesting people I meet along the way!

Some good old school Gundam shows are G Gundam, or Gundam Wing. The latest series Iron Blooded Orphans is really good too.

I enjoy reading manga more than watching anime too. Most anime have so much filler, and most shows that aren’t based on manga are so cliche and meta. Manga is just more dynamic and artistic than most anime shows out there nowadays.

Thanks for the recommendations. Based off what you’ve said, I’ll have to try out manga too. It’s so much harder for me to find anime I like anymore (ex: overused stereotypes), so manga might be another thing for me to try.

Definitely. I find manga are more like books with pictures. I hate reading most fiction books because I need some kind of visual aid to help me along with the story. Manga is perfect for that.

I remember watching the first episode of One Piece and reading the first manga chapter for it. While they’re not drastically different, they cut out the scene in the manga where Luffy got his scare on his face.

There are many differences in anime and manga as well. Like with Pokemon for instance. I hate the show, but I love the manga. It’s more dark overall.

I’m doing a lot of reading at the moment. Well I’ve always done a lot of reading. I’m catching up on classic sci-fi at the moment that I missed in my early years. Also currently re-reading Dune by Frank Herbert. Still as good when I read it over 30 years ago.

Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

So glad to read something from all of you. I’m just so sick of constantly seeing posts that are female related. I know this is a place for men to vent their frustrations with them, but like Traversable MGTOW and War Horse discussed in their first YouTube Hangout it just gets old.
