Ramsey is pro-family, so he doesn’t have the cojones to tell the whole story. By the time she’s done with school that will be more like $700,000. The market for dentists is tight, so when she’s not able to pay it back, especially once she takes time off to start popping out rugrats and also given the high cost of living in San Diego, that fool is going to be on the hook for Megabucks. Dave’s advice for already married couples is usually better, but this guy’s situation stumped him. The reason it was so difficult to respond to is because despite being blue pill, his faith and self-discipline have allowed Dave to accumulate great wealth.

Of course he’s trying to give a solution where they wind up married and beating down this debt together. In his world the only reason for dating is to get married and stay together forever.

I like Dave, he could hear in the guy’s voice that telling her once we get this under control we can get married, maybe, wasn’t an option. The dude wants to marry before she’s even done with school.

Hell, take MGTOW considerations out of it. His commitment to being a minister will be completely wasted. He’ll spend his entire life working 3 extra jobs to keep ahead of the interest alone. In Germany, no bank gives you anything without securities like a house or piece of land.

Gargamel, the US schools are in cahoots with the government. Here you can come from no money, get 200k in low interest loans, each year they convince college seniors that the only jobs worth having are available through the college route. What they don’t mention is that at minimum payments it will never be paid off.

It’s a bigger scam than 30 year mortgages, and they get 18 year olds to sign their lives away. It’s also one of the few debts that can’t be killed by a bankruptcy.

I have a bad feeling that this poor guy is going to destroy his life with this girlfriend. That debt plus interest is going to hunt him down forever and he doesn’t even realize it. Anyway. Back to Dave Ramsey. I called in about three years ago when Howard Stern was encouraging fans to call and prank Ramsey on the air. I had a buddy recording it and I made it past the call screener that told me I was in line behind five callers.

When it was my turn, to give Dave a rock hard one (he gets excited) I launched into how all of my credit cards and debt were paid off, Jeep was paid off, had an emergency fund, etc and I wanted to know if I could justify spending $7k on new skydiving gear.

And he laughed when I said I was trying to save the company that I have my life insurance with, a $100,000 payout.

He laughed and said ‘There ya’ go. . .I like that.’

Then right before he was going to continue, I said I had a Part Two to my question and he said ‘Go ahead. . .’

And I got in quickly ‘Does your wife do anal?’

And my buddy was recording via his home phone, so we got it all on the phone line since the radio station guy used the seven second delay to cut it off the air.
