High school reunion. Show up or not?

Going probably has no benefit to you and more than likely would paint a target(s) on your back. Sounds like a “me too” situation just waiting to happen. I avoid high school reunions like the plague, never been to one.

If you’re expecting to make any impact, then in essence you’re making the event all about you. Don’t do that, it won’t work out well for you. It’ll be disappointing for you at the very least. That is, unless you know of some classmates who are also red-pilled whom you can pal around with. That might be fun.

I wouldn’t go. Anyone that you thought was worthwhile from high school, you probably still have contact with. You avoided everyone else for a reason. Everyone gets dressed up in their best clothes to go see how they are doing compared to everyone else and they even exaggerate to make their lives seem even better. Everyone there is trying to experience the High School experience one last time. Sound familiar? A High School Reunion was Fakebook before we had the internet.

Have never went to a hs reunion and don’t ever plan to. Most of those people made my life worse.

I’m nostalgic about MY bygone era and even times prior to that, but strangely enough I don’t miss nor want to see any of them, and I would steer clear of them if I could go back.

If I could go back, knowing what I Know now, I would have been a complete LONER, and SMILED ALL THE WAY !!!

I never bother with “reunions” primarily because I moved way beyond where I came from.

I wouldn’t waste my time being around the misery and failures of the past. The few of us who “succeeded” in life so far were the ones deemed to be worthless. I was voted most likely to be killed before I was 21, my best friend at the time was voted most likely to be in prison before 18.
Ironically, we are only 2 of the 4 people who made it past high school, had post secondary educations, careers, seen most of the world, and dont have criminal records, or addictions.
I’d be a no show if anyone tried to invite me to that crap fest.

I know I’m a bit late to this topic, but I just noticed it. So I want to post now.

I will never attend any high school reunion because of the s~~~ty way those asshole kids treated me! I was picked on, name called, punched around, beat up, suspended for 10 days, shamed for my lifestyle and choices and for not showing interest in girls and humiliated and laughed at. I was treated so badly that the day before graduation I told those punks that this is it, once I get that diploma I am gone and I don’t ever want to see you guys again; no reunion, nothing!

Two months ago, I met up with a woman who works as a trainer at my gym who just happened to go to school as me (she remembered me, but I didn’t remember her) and even she admitted that the guys back in high school were assholes and I agreed.

The only way I would go is if I win a major lottery jackpot, so I can go to those stupid punks and shove it in their faces that I did better than all of them and didn’t have to do much to get it. That would be just for revenge.
