    Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I don’t want to bore anyone with my intro or story but I am new to this forum and I had no idea that I lived the mgtow life until I discovered it last year. I guess I have been doing my own thing for many years now and I haven’t been in a relationship since 2005 and in 2011 was my only and last date ever. I really don’t understand this society anymore nor do I care. I just focus on myself whether; its gym, job or just vacation alone.

Lately however, I’ve been feeling a little lost or confused with my life, like there is no direction. I am 33 yrs old still living at home but I do own property, Graduated College over a decade ago, have a stable job, no friends at all, loner, no social life, work the typical 7 hours go home and gym, rinse and repeat. I am just getting tired of this daily routine asking “What the hell is the point of this daily ritual/routine”?

Anyways, any guidance you brothers can provide will be fantastic. Thank you all for reading and I am glad to be part of this forum.

Welcome to the forums. MGTOW is literally about GYOW. I have no advice or guidance on what “your own way” is. I do know that you’re better off by staying single, and you can live WAAAAAAYYYY cheaper that way.

    Hello hadnoideaiwasmgtow,
    Welcome to the forum.

I am just getting tired of this daily routine asking “What the hell is the point of this daily ritual/routine”?

If you want variety and drama just welcome a women into your life! Get married, have kids. There will be no routine anymore, because EVERYONE is demanding a piece of you. Then, after year of providing for the family you can come home to find your wife wants a divorce, and you are now an asshole. Possibly you have abused her and never knew about it. You lose everything, and fight for the “right” to see your own kids. Then you have to pay for her and the kids, while being an asshole and possibly investigated for abuse. It may appear dramatic, but it breaks the routine.

Sorry for the rant. One really does not appreciate what he has until he no longer has it… I for one would like to have your problems.

No worries, no offense taken. I really love eveyone’s feedback. I guess I could be a little ignorant of my blessings. I assume you are a Dan Millman’s fan correct? I love the Peaceful Warrior, that book change my life a bit in College.

Thank you all and thank you for taking the time to read my post. You guys are fantastic.

It’s hard for women to understand men sometimes, they would see loneliness and not being married a negative and would try to shame men for doing so, it’s unique feeling to men when you’ve been betrayed and sometimes emasculated by women over and over please don’t mind some of our Bros comments don’t take to heart just consider yourself lucky to find mgtow before anything terrible has happened in your life.

Hey man, welcome aboard from one newbie to another.

As someone reading your post on here, I’ve shared some similar feels of a certain…emptiness.

You have a dedication about you in your efforts: you work (you’re a productive member of society), you work out (I need to do this more often) and, you’re obviously independent.

Two things stick out from your profile:

I am 33 yrs old still living at home

And the whole social life thing.

If possible, have you considered moving to somewhere that would enhance your personal endeavors or pursuit of a hobby?

For example, I live in the city of Chicago and while it offers lots, it hurts the wallet lots too. It’s f~~~ing expensive. But, social life options are there if one were so inclined. My point however, is that I’ve made a plan to move to I think North Carolina to pick up surfing.

Surfing and work. That’s the way things are heading for me as a single dude not really caring. So I want to pick up surfing.

So to rewrap: have you considered moving out? I think being on your own would make a huge positive impact. Get yourself a nice condo, a nice loft. Make it your own. That’s powerful in itself. And if it comes with a perk of being by what you like to do (i.e. maybe you like fishing–move to a place w/premier seasonal fishing idk) then more power to you. Maybe with such a new focus, you’ll worry less on social stuff–if you truly desire social stuff, then I suggest a metropolitan area where you can meet people as you settle out on your own.

    Cheers man.

Thanks darkmatter32 for your comment. The thing is, I really don’t have any hobbies. I thought about moving to a different State myself as well but have no idea where exactly. I think I need to really start reflecting about myself for this year and just start doing what I want to do. If I do find a similar job in a different State, then my ass is outta here. thank you again darkmatter32.

    Welcome brother.

First off, congratulations on your success – education, job, property & cash flow are all very positive things and definitely not to be taken for granted.

Secondly, a lot of the guys here talk about their hobbies & passions – riding motorcycles, cooking, camping, reading, volunteering; dancing tango’s my gig right now.

Have any hobbies that you pursue or have always wanted to try? Now’s the time.

No offense intended, actually I had only good intentions: I thought I could shake you from discounting your good position.

There are many MGTOW that came to this place after utter annihilation. It is not my case, I just had the basic slavery. But many brothers share stories that would make several new Kafka books.

I assume you are a Dan Millman’s fan correct? I love the Peaceful Warrior, that book change my life a bit in College.

I enjoyed Peaceful Warrior the movie, its a great movie, but never read the books. I am into many things.

The Peaceful Warrior is my latest reincarnation. To change avatar and name was ghost thing, it the beginning.

But then, for me, it became more than that. Its like a snake that gets out of its old skin to be able to grow.
We get attached to things. We get fixated in images, especially a self-image. And then you are projecting more of that image than being honest and growing up.

I say everything has a time. Even forum avatars.

That would pretty much fit on the Peaceful Warrior movie, would you say?

Welcome ihadnoidea, stick around and just watch how this MGTOW idea will start to grow on you. It’s worked wonders for me.

Welcome, and cherish your freedom! You will eventually find something of interest for you to take up your extra time, so don’t insist that it be right now or worry about it. You already have gotten an education and acquired property, so that indicates you intrinsically know what you want to do and you do it. Glad to have you on board.
