You could indeed say that both are music that is played within clubs. Not a club that you have ever been to Pistol Pete, but a club regardless.

    Per wikipedia:

Gorillaz – a virtual band: Writers and critics have described their music as alternative rock,[1] Britpop,[9] trip hop,[10][11] hip hop,[12] electronica, indie, dub, reggae and pop.[13][14]

The Prodigy – a live band: The group’s genre of music uses various styles ranging from rave, hardcore techno, electro-industrial, jungle and breakbeat and big beat, adding punk vocal elements in later works.

I can see your head bopping now Exo.

Here is something fresh… I can’t fully describe it, its an acquired taste in electronica (as I mostly listen to this genre, everything there is).
Experimental album from Mega Drive, electronic music, glitched, some dark ambient and industrial vibes going.

Overall Mega Drive and artists like Perturbator, Lazerhawk, Carpenter Brut, MOON, Noir Deco, Power Glove and many more, are behind a so called New Retro Wave genre emerging from underground right now. Carpenter Brut for instance goes with more dark, menacing sound.

Well when it comes to music–you know me I’m lost by anything made after 1760.

Whats also interesting – I can’t imagine someone mosh-pit listening to Gorillaz, its more chill/relaxing music in that, I like to drink tea to it. While with The Prodigy its opposite, very energizing.

Did someone say electronic music of some sort?

Kraftwerk were the pioneers… Formed in 1970 they were way head of their time.

    From 1975-

And now for some of my favorite newer stuff-
