Hi guys, I’m 25 and although I recently discovered the MGTOW, it’s been around a year since I finally took the red pill.

I studied photography and there was a girl in my class which I started dating (I was 19 by that time and she was 5/6 years older than me). At first glance everything was “fine” for the first couple years…. Oh! how stupid of me -.- I feel like my stupidity back then knew no boundaries. On those first years she jokingly broke up with me a couple times just to see my reaction and to reassure her self esteem I guess. When we finished both our studies 3 years after we started dating, we opened a little photography studio as we thought it would be more worthy than renting studios by hours. As she was getting a social economic help from the government, we opened it under my name so she could maintain the social help (how naive from my part) and after making a sort of publicity contract for a year with a coupon website to get clients…thats when the real s~~~ came down. She used to threaten me with breaking up and leaving me with the studio alone if things weren’t going her way so I didn’t really had much options but to keep “bowing” down to her as me myself couldn’t keep up with all the work and breaking said contract would mean a 5000€ fee which obviously I couldn’t afford. One day when we were at her home, we had an argument and after her bruising my arm with a wooden spatula, she even called the police to escort me out of her home. I’ll never forget that s~~~, the police came to her home and after seeing my bruised arm, the first thing they asked her was if I had laid a finger on her, which miracously she answered with a no. After leaving her home, the police even told me: “Dude you are lucky, even though visibly you have taken the worst, if you had laid a hand on her, you’ll be pasing the night at the police office”. After two more years passed, the best possible thing happened: She cheated on me and had a brave attittude towards it(the contract we had the publicity business had finally expired). Although at first it was painful…. nowadays I think thats the best thing she could have done to me as it gave me the courage to break up with her and close the studio at long last, after a couple months without having profit and having to ask my parents for money (by now, I’ve managed to repay them all the money they had to lend me). After a few months she contacted me back “ashamed” of what she did, but luckily my eyes were already opened so I stood by the “No, thanks”.

Since then (lost 5 years of my life with her), I’ve been happily working on a job I found, spending MY money on MY hobbies (traveling, videogames, Magic the Gathering, football and a few more things) and living my earned freedom. Have had a couple night affairs but haven’t engaged emotionally nor economically (You want something? Pay it yourself) with any of them as I don’t give a s~~~ anymore. So guys, thats my story, of how I passed from an utter fool to a happy free man.

Welcome. Your story rings all to true. The men here know this all too well. Society has given a collective middle finger to our place in the world and we’ve answered back in kind.

It could have been a lot worse dude, A LOT. You could have had kids and married the bitch before this bulls~~~ with the studio and then the cheating happened.

I have made mistakes and been foolish in the past as well but luckily the mistakes were minor and recoverable, there is no better teacher than reality as it hits you like a ton of bricks.

Indeed, I’d rather burn all my money like the joker did on The Dark Knight, than having them drain it from me XD

I can only imagine the emotional hell you went through in those five years. You have earned your freedom, that’s for sure.

    Welcome to the MGTOW brotherhood!

    Great intro!
    Welcome to “mgtow.com”
Guys’re right, it could’ve been much worse.
Your sharing has already helped other men.

Welcome brother, you might have lost a little time but consider it an investment in an education about women, you dodged a major one.

"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."

I hope my story can help someone, if we don’t support between bros we will really be screwed. Although at the moment I felt s~~~ty because I didn’t understand why Karma (or however whatever name) was putting me through that, after what I have read from other users… I really feel lucky that I just got off with some emotional and economical issues that are solved by now.

    Thanks for this heartwarming welcome.

Welcome brother & thanks for the intro.

Sucks that you had to lose that time & money, but you came out in one piece & far better for it. In fact, you hit the nail on the MGTOW-head:

happily working on a job I found, spending MY money on MY hobbies

    and living my earned freedom.

Look within yourself to banish demons like that woman forever. Once you take the red pill, don’t stop, keep doing personal development and you will get IRON defences against tyranny with thier foundations deep in your soul because brother, with a woman like that in your past, you need them- and so do I!

Involving women with work can be dangerous. I have never tried running a business with a woman. I do run a small business by myself online selling electronics.
But i used to work in retail years ago and my manager was a Polish woman. She was attracted to me. She had already mentioned this to some of the other staff. And she tried in various ways to get me to make a move on her. I didnt. And that is when she turned nasty. She started being rude during my shifts. And she would call me in to work on my days off and then accuse me of being unreliable if i said no.
I quickly resigned the job. If i was in a similar situation today i would probably launch an official complaint.
