Yet we are spending 1.5 trillion on the F 35 which is useless, by most accounts.

I was under the impression that the USAF was planning on phasing out human fighter pilots and depending on drone fighters and bombers within the next couple of decades anyhow.

I remember hearing a quote from the early 2000s stating that the last fighter pilots have already being born.

It isn’t because the economy is great, it’s not.

    Why are people joining up?

Air Force facing dire personnel shortage

I cant speak for USAF. But in other nations, the reason why their military is facing dire personnel shortages… It’s a retention issue.

When the politicians have cutback and then over stretched their military. The Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen “vote with their feet” and leave.

    Here,
    – They haven’t received any payrise and when you take into account inflation or cost of living… they are now worse off.
    – Pensions have been slashed or removed.
    – Expenses removed ( Ive known guys make a financial loss to attend courses)
    – Any perks to being in the military has disappeared
    – Privatisation or contracting out roles previously done by servicemen.
    – Reduction in equipment and manpower
    – A reduction in training as a cost saving measure and less qualifications awarded
    – But working harder
    – With more deployments, for longer. Away from family
    – Better job prospects and work/life balance elsewhere
    – Theres a rumour that an Airforce base here was closed and they tried to sell it to the Prison Service. The Prison Service turned it down because the Airmans accommodation wasn’t a good enough standard for prisoners!

I like to add, in some military roles you cant beat experience… You cant replace an aircraft maintainer with years of on the job experience with a kid fresh out of school who doesn’t know anything.

Politicians cant have an an Airforce on the cheap. An effective Airforce costs money.

P.S. The reporter in the video, Lucas Tomlinson, is the worst Ive ever seen.

Dumb down the male population then wonder why there’s no men intelligent enough to learn how to read a flight manual, a compass, or an aviation map, never mind the mathematics!

Great job feminism! All those decades of gynocentric oppression on the male gender and now it’s YOUR ASS!!!

All part of the decline and destruction of the Patriarchy!

It’s time for the ladies to grow male brains and do the things that come to us NATURALLY but NEVER COMES TO US IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL!

It is an air force on the cheap. A UAV or RPAS (drones) can be made cheaper. No need for pressurisation, pilot life support etc. They can be made smaller, carry more and go further.

They ARE recruiting gamers and training them up.

If you have a real human pilot over a target and pressing the red button, there are consequences for them if they get it wrong. Both career wise and psychologically.

When at a desk thousands of miles away and being fed a diet of shoot em ups since birth, one is removed from the humanity of war.

Once you THINK the enemy can’t kill you or you don’t see his eye’s as his life ebbs away or smell your brother rotting flesh … then you literally have a drone army, air force or navy.

They won’t think, just act. They won’t feel, just do.

    They won’t consider, just fire.

Then go grab a burger on the way home as the next shift will double tap your target.

There are now drone subs being tested.

We are getting closer to terminator and skynet with eash decade.

But the real beauty is you will see zero bodybags or caskets arrive at base with flags draped over them.

That will be for THEM … THE OTHERS …THE TARGETS.

But never forget, what the powers use on OUR enemy may be used one day on THEIR enemy ….. YOU.

You don’t give a thought to how your beef ends up on your plate. The slaughter behind it.

The same will apply for other resources you will consume in the future.

    I wish it were different.

    But it’s not.

Accommodation not even fit for death row inmates, no wonder the USAF is having a hard time keeping staff.

Like we need to waste more money on personnel or the military industrial complex. Instead we need to work on our infrastructure and industry so that we can wage economic war.

people join the military in times of peace, when they think there will be war. They don’t join when you’re fighting bulls~~~ wars for oil and other resources to benefit the elite.

You know what fires me up about our military? The fact that they actually make our troops pay for their food. But, they will bring the people from the country that our troops are fighting to our country. Give them food housing and insurance. What a crock of s~~~ that is.
