Hello all! I am a young man looking to fully embrace the MGTOW lifestyle

I was raised in a house with parents that were unfit to raise a child. Unloving of eachother, themselves, or their child. I like to think my circumstances formed me more than my parents did, and because of this, I have been a skeptical and untrusting person. Despite this I was involved with the opposite sex thoroughly in my young life.

My redpill has been a gradual one. I, like many young men, began with an idealized view of women as my tabula rasa. I naively saw LTRs and marrige as a goal to strive for and something to covet. My actual experiences with women, however, came to quickly pervert this illusion. Every passing woman that took advantage of me, disappointed me, hurt me, or shocked me with their behavior eroded my trust and pushed me to begin seeing trends. I was still blue pilled at that stage, and because of this I placed blame on myself. Doubt, depression, restlessness, and lowered self-worth chewed at my ankles. I then left home at the tender age of 17. Being left to your own devices at such an age forced me to get my priorities straight and worldview sorted to function as a man. Introspection and observation were king at this time and my life. This search along with budding radical social justice and feminism coming to my attention is what I believe brought me over the edge of redpill. Once I had this ember inside me I had to know more. The internet brought the manosphere to me very quickly, from which I absorbed its teachings.

Currently I live as a man alone, going my own way, and serving nothing but my own best interests. I take pride in my work and in my hobbies, the largest being restoration of antique cars.

I struggle most with curbing my urges for physical and emotional release with a woman, although I realize that what I desire is a nonexistent phantasm. It may sound silly, but I have something that helps me not make any choices I may regret in regards to succumbing to my urges. I wear a oval cut ruby solitaire ring with a silver band on my left hand. The engraving on the inside of the band reads,”A red pill a day…” and I use it to ground myself in reality. When I’m doubting my choices I look to my engraving like a mantra.

My future looks promising.I’m joining the United States Marine Corps in electronic maintenance. Boot camp in about a week. I hope to improve myself as a man, and learn from my own mistakes, and the mistakes of others here. I look forward to getting to know you gentlemen.

Good luck in boot camp potential future devil dog. I’m currently serving active duty in the Corps myself and loving my tour. Welcome to your own path brother. You’ll need physical release with women, for that there’s plenty of ways. But you’ll never need the emotional release, because women are c~~~s.

That’s a good career but also I have heard stories of postings where non-combat female officers are in charge and f~~~ up a man’s life. Be careful about that.

On the flip side usually you work with men so that likely will keep you out of trouble.

If you need sex remember the rules and be very careful. If you can pay for it and get it over with.
