I think these videos sum it up.

Right now the healthcare industry is in flux with the abolishment of the Obamacare individual mandate. The mandate was designed so the working classes would be forced to pay for the healthcare of the rich and poor, while at the same time the working classes would be denied healthcare for themselves.

With the individual mandate gone the situation will likely rapidly change for the better for the working classes.

My insurance was better prior to Ofailure care. I was paying $400 a month prior to Ofailure care. I now pay over 1k a month. Messed up.

Without the individual mandate the entire scam goes bankrupt. Either healthy insurance companies are going to lower prices are go bankrupt. Either outcome will force medical prices to go down.

He looks healthy though. It’s better to pay 60k rather of getting treatment by residual principle.

He died broke not long after that video was made. It was taken a few years ago.

Charging $60 for two aspirin is shameless profiteering.

Agreed. Are there ways to challenge the bill in a court?

Here’s a crazy idea… Go back to where it was originally and just expand medicare to cover the uncoverables. Why should the 305 million other Americans be penalized for the the 20 million people it supposedly covered? Ofailure care was put together so ridiculously that there was no logical plan of action to make sure it’s affordable. True, one can get insurance on the bronze level. but with a 6.5k + deductible, what is the point?

The system is only going to get worse with the baby boomers retiring en masse’.

Best thing is to find an excellent Family Physician who will negotiate good cash rates with.
They are rare. Overall, minus major surgery and catastrophes, it’s cheaper and proven higher quality.

Well, I’m just glad that in the future, more men will be saved from this. And Sadly, women will never get to feel what this is like for them. But that’s okay. I will never be free from them. But I can limit their involvement with my life. And one day be free to enjoy whatever life I build.

Sad though. All we ever wanted was to be treated just good enough so that we could live. The world is not even willing to allow us to do that.

Its a real low down dirty shame.

    Rest in peace BigMan.

What are the common folks to do? Boycotting the heath care system is not going to work, when we desperately need heath care. Where and who can we turn to. They got us by the b~~~~ here.

I think all we can do is take good care of ourselves, avoid doctors like the plague, go overseas for surgery if we need it, and just hope for the best. That’s my plan. If I get f~~~ed over by some hospital and end up bankrupt, I guess I’ll just cross that bridge when I get to it. Politicians on both the right and the left keep making things worse.

The real problem is going to occur when physicians retire. We all know how dedicated women are to their careers and advancement.

I was at OHSU a bit back. I don’t see the Nurses being to happy there. Actually, the Docs there from what I hear are dating the Dumb broads around town.

Those Docs are not doing to well either from what I heard. So those female docs might have a bit more time on their hands for work.

ACtually, what I heard is that female docs are ore into their patients. Odd but true it seems.
