Hey guys, I have worked in the media and design industry for the last 10 years. About a year ago my contracts started dwindling, and honestly I don’t think it’s going to get better anytime soon. My industry is way too saturated. So many younger SJWs and woomyns fresh outta art school are gunning for my job. Also the client base is getting more demanding and s~~~ty. Frankly I no longer enjoy the work.

I’m in my late 30’s and just want to get an hourly job. I’m sick of the corporate landscape. Is it weird that I just want a dishwasher job or something similar? Am I too old? My living expenses are very low and I’m MGTOW so no wife/kids, etc.

Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks dudes.

You might be happier doing fixit stuff, or other jobs that dont have a boss over you. Can you make things people want to buy? I mean, you can always get a job you describe if you have to, but sometimes those people in high turnover jobs get treated s~~~ty.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Try being an electrician. Or truck driver. It’s a job that women can’t stand, and you always have the edge. Mechanic is not bad either.

    Not at all.

If you can cover your living expenses with a low stress blue collar job then go for it.

    Yes.

I do graveyard security work. The entry fees are minimal.

You can work a ton of hours if you want. You can also work 40, then pursue training in another area in the mornings.

Bonuses are you rarely work with more than one person at a time. You can usually complete daily duties within 2 hours. You’ve got another 6 to delve deep into various subjects.

It’s honest work. The industry is growing, thanks to lawsuit happy morons. The daily stress is very low.

    You’re never too old.

I’m late forties and recently ejected from the corporate life to start my own business because of the bulls~~~.

A lot of professionally qualified peers of similar age have done the same because professionalism and quality counts for little any more because the snowflake generation are incompetent.

Here’s some ideas from what some of my former colleagues have done (all formerly professional engineers):

Electrician, plumber (very popular), truck driver, bus driver, accountant, gardener.

I’m still doing engineering but on my own terms, but I did consider becoming a postman (mailman) or traffic warden.

As long as you can cover your costs (which are low as a MGHOW) do whatever floats your boat.
    It’s never too late.

    I do graveyard security work.

    Low/No Stress
Low/No Physical Abuse on Your Body
TIME to Think, Read, Listen to Music ETC
    NO Boss Over Your Shoulder
    Few, if any, Co-workers
    Time Alone
Working while MOST of the Morons of the World are Sleeping
    Not Seasonal Like Building Trades
    Cant be Exported like manufacturing
Stable Money, Not Big Bucks but STABLE

If my current gig falls apart for any reason, I always said I wanted to do night security. I did it years ago, and I think that I would ENJOY it even MORE this time.

Work to live, don’t live to work.

Actually said this at work recently, got some really confused looks.

Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.

Confused looks from the lemmings who have no problem letting the company take advantage of them?
