I don’t watch a ton of t.v. but I wacth a few things on the science & history channels as I drink coffee before work.  For a while now, I have noticed all these insurance companies pushing term life insurance.  The commercials are ALWAYS directed at MEN.  “Don’t you want the peace of mind knowing your family will covered if anything happens to you?”, seems to be the common theme.  The narrative is ALWAYS explicitly stating how a MAN can afford X amount of coverage for Y dollars per month.

Now I have my own opinion about these commercials.  The obvious “feelz game” is blatant.  They should really say, “Come on guys!  Man up and make sure your ‘ol lady can monkey branch in comfort and stay solvent before your corpse is cold and in the ground!  After all she put up with your misogynistic patriarchial oppression in this miserable marriage!  If you’re a ‘real man’ you would buy her this consolation prize to help her get that man she always wanted and that you could never be!  Call now!”

Any thoughts on this marketing for this product?  Have you noticed other products that use the same kind of subtle shaming?

F~~~ these bitches.  Set up an iron clad trust for your kids if possible.  Make sure she has to suck a homeless guy’s dick for her box wine and meow mix allowance if your addiction to breathing is suddenly and unexpectedly cured!

Come to think of it I’ve never noticed it until you mentioned it. I guess it’s better than advertising that some simp’s wench could take out policy on him and then arrange an “accident”.

Maybe, with all the branch swinging and having child support from 5 different baby daddies womyn don’t need policies on their husbands since they are more than likely planning on tossing him overboard at the first available next best opportunity anyway.

Not until now, glad I don’t watch TV any more, in before Netflix starting with commercials, hopefully never.

Just goes to show that men are only seen as utility, and even in death, the pity goes to the wife, when it should solely go to the man and his kids.

MGTOW doesn’t need term life insurance! We’re destroying that industry, the legal industry, the maturity industry, the banking industry, the matrimony industry, s~~~; we’re destroying every gynocentric industry on the planet! That’s GREAT! A new world order! One that makes sense!

Exactly…this just makes a point about how this “utility” mentality is so ingrained in out society.  How many men are socially conditioned to see this s~~~, think, “Oh yeah good idea”, then pick up the phone and call?  Then there are the wimmenz who see this s~~~, think “CHA-CHING!  $$$”, then nag their f~~~ing husbands in to no end until they give in and buy the insurance so the bitch will shut her stammerimg c~~~ holster.  This kind of marketing p~~~es me off.  You can damn well bet this company will never see a dime of my money for anything.

Yes I certainly have noticed this. LONG AGO. Exactly the kind of thing you do, and then your wife sticks a shotgun in your back while you sleep, claims abuse, collects the life insurance (your life work) and walks. That’s what you get for

“Women in their hearts think that men are intended to earn money so that they may spend it, if possible during their husband’s lifetime, but at any rate after his death.”

It’s all unspoken and nobody ever says it out loud… but you know it’s there.

Well term life insurance is a huge f~~~ing scam in general, so it makes sense that they’d only be able to market it to idiot white knights and greedy gold digging slores. It’s not like they’re going to be selling it to MGTOW, who are defined by their ability to recognize and avoid rip off deals, so clearly they don’t even try.

Yeah I’m sure it’s been going on a lot longer than I realize.  It’s just interesting to note how one readily picks up on subtle s~~~ like this when on has reached MGTOW DEFCON LEVEL 1 like I have.  I think it’s helpful to expose this blatant bulls~~~ so others can see it.  Based upon some of the responses here I apparently am not the only one who has missed these overlty covert advertising campaigns.  At least some other men can see what I am observing.  To quote Popp, “WINNING!” 🙂

I only kept a minimum amount so she wouldn’t have been on easy street if I were to perish. I don’t have any now that fruits of my loins are grown.

I have no intention of dropping any loot when I croak.  If anything, I hope to leave behind massive credit card bills.

Ever since i was like 6 years old, i knew that i would never get life insurance; the entire thought of it is just absolutely flawed!

When you buy life insurance your giving people a reason to kill you. It’s that freaking simple.

Get married, buy life insurance… then wonder why your waking up with a knife in your gut a month later 😛

I also decided at an early age to have my will along the lines of, “sell all of my assets, withdraw everything as cash, and burn it”

    😛

Anyone with minor children should have life insurance, and they can make the kids the beneficiaries and not the spouse.

For someone married without kids (or with grown kids), yeah it’s probably a waste to buy the insurance. But I don’t think “murder to get the insurance money” really happens that often in the real world. In the movies, sure.

But not term life insurance. Regular life insurance can be a good thing, which is why they don’t have to advertise it, but term life is always a bad deal even when it isn’t an outright scam. That’s why they market it using emotional hooks. Its target market are white knights and women and other gormless schmucks who fall for emotional fear tactic crap like that.

Not necessarily. If you’ve got kids that you need to make sure get raised and sent off to college, but after that you figure nobody’s really hurting if you die, then term could be the thing you need. Doing whole life instead is just adding on an unnecessary “forced savings” component.

Have you ever tried to get money out of a term life policy?  It’s unbelievable the tricks and loopholes they put in to make certain they never pay.  Term life is a scam.  At least with a whole life the “forced savings” is still there with your name on it.

Of course in the long run you’re much better off than either just having a regular savings account or some other method of accumulating easily convertible assets.  Control your spending and dump everything you can into that.

But the best solution is going your own way with no f~~~s given and no dependents to worry about.  I see these kids being coerced into paying for life insurance policies to make sure their student loans get paid off if they die.  Are they idiots?  Even term life has some justification to it of you’re obligated to your kids, but who the f~~~ cares about taking care of some bank after they’re dead?

Life insurance, what a scam. A blatant attempt at getting people (mainly men because hey, we’re the ones that croak first, right) to part with their hard-earned readies. You are born with nothing and you cannot take anything with you go, so what are you losing? Nothing!

MGTOW makes life insurance redundant. In fact, you could run up a fair whack before you croak and there will be no bailiffs on the other side to get you…

It’s “death divorce.”  She gets the money you earn, without “all the hassle of ‘you’.”  Work more to buy life insurance, so your wife has money when you die from working more.  Come on, man up, she hasn’t asked you to sell a kidney……………………yet.

100% of the murderers I’ve known in real life killed to collect a life insurance policy.
