Way back, in the day when the Bible wasn’t written yet, the dudes back then had multiple wives. And they were doing a lot of “be-getting , be-gatting,” what ever.
Now a days, one can only have one. Did God figure out that wives are really hard on men, and decide to take it a little easier on us? Some religions today still have men with “Harems”, they must be some tuff f~~~ers, Huh?

Well, he did give us Paul. Better not to take a wife.

Plus the whole book has a bunch of warning signs of women not to take as wives.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

The Bible is eternal. Parts of it have 1000 year pauses. God is never out of options. His Grace is never lacking.

The epic of Gilgamesh is a good story.

God working with Abraham is miraculous.

John 17: 8. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. – Bible Offline

This was supposed to be a tongue in cheek post about the “restrictions” on wives, and just how much suffering men have to go through. I saw an episode of “Leave it to Beaver” and Ward said God only wants men to get into only “so much” trouble when asked by the Beaver about wives.

The Bible on the other hand, is a conglomeration of other books compiled by “The men in power” at the time. Choosing to include or not from a wealth of knowledge. The “Book” says what THEY wanted it to say. So it must be taken with a grain of salt, so to speak.

I would imagine the other religions of the world have been put together in much the same fashion, as their stories are similar.

    Sorry I blew up….
