First I want to say hello, and that I feel like everyone here is my kindred spirit. We may differ on minor or even major points, but so what? I have lived much of my life going my own way, at some point lost my way, got married, divorced and have a child (Being a Dad is the best). However, I am grateful that my divorce was so intense, harsh, and done with a level of cruelty that was surreal. I believe when you see your “loving wife ” turn on you in a dramatic fashion, you can never see the world through blue pill glasses again, and this is a gift. It’s remarkable how a man’s wife ends up treating her husband WORSE than if she never met him at all. Makes one realize no man should ever sign a marriage contract to a woman who HATES him enough actually let him go through with it.

In not too recent years I had a girlfriend or three ( after I became hip to this ^ )…. and when the marriage finally topic came up, I didn’t think she “loves” me. It was a sign that she was ready to hate me now.

One of them pushed hard and presented me with a sort of ultimatum. I flatly told her a marriage contract is such a bad deal for a man, her insistence was more of an indicator that she hated my guts.

She went completely stone-faced silent.

Basically….

“I want to be married or it’s over.”

“It’s already over.”
