As you get older you think about one of the major killers of men. That walnut sized happy gland. The prostate.
Gotta keep it healthy and happy otherwise it will kill your ass.
Don’t smoke.
Eat more selenium-rich foods such as wheat germ, tuna, herring and other seafood and shellfish, beef liver, kidney, eggs, sunflower and sesame seeds, cashews, mushrooms, garlic and onions. Selenium reduces risk of prostate cancer. Or take a selenium supplement.
Good news bad news… If you are over 45, rubbing one out 8 to 12 times a month helps reduce chance of prostate cancer. Bad news is, if you are in your teens and are rubbing one out 30 to 40 times a month you actually increase the chance of developing prostate cancer later in life.
Men 80 and above almost always have a little cancer in the prostate. It seems its just a natural occurance in older men.
Get your PSA tested once a year if you see a spike from normal 4 – 5 to 12 – 13 time to see an onconolgist for a biopsy.
Symptoms:A frequent need to urinate, especially at night
Difficulty starting or stopping a stream of urine
A weak or interrupted urinary stream
Leaking of urine when laughing or coughing
Inability to urinate standing up
A painful or burning sensation during urination or ejaculation
Blood in urine or semen
You have swelling in your legs.
You have weakness in your legs or difficulty walking, especially if you also have constipation. The only person you have to rely on is yourself as a man. Men’s health issues get s~~~ funding so as usual we have to take care of it ourselves. As per usual men are disposable but women are catered to. Why? Vagina and eggs.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
Great topic, on top of that guys 50 + should get checked for Colon Cancer as well,it is the third most common Cancer behind
Prostate.Interesting note, Lung Cancer is number one world wide while
Breast Cancer only accounts for about a quarter of all Cancers. The way women and the f~~~ing Lib media harp on about it though
you’d think IT was the #1 killer the world over!Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!
Yep. Gotta have the old colonoscopy.
I had one, they found one tiny non-cancerous polyp. Snipped it out and that was that. The colonoscopy was a cake walk (I was out cold) compared to the prep liquid. F~~~ me sideways. I had to duck tape myself to the toilet because that liquid went through so fast it approached light-speed coming out. I was achieving “rectal orbital escape velocity”.
If you are 50 git=er-done. Not like you want colon cancer where you die from your asshole betraying you.

thanks chir !
the same advice for prostate health is,
to my knowledge the same as breast cancer prevention..
except for rubbing one out frequently..
.
every 3 days you have maximum sperm count..
then the little guys go into keeping the newest/healthiest ..
.
add brazil nuts to your list of foods that contain selenium..
just 2 or 3 per day or you can get too much of a good thing. In Thailand you can swallow a pill-like illuminated HD camera and the (doc) goes thru the footage and give you a copy as well.
A less invasive procedure perhaps..
Anonymous18one of the major killers of men
Prostate cancer is rare cause of death. The incidence is quite high in old age but the cancer is an incidental finding at autopsy. I.E the poor ol’ bastards die of a million other reasons way before prostate cancer becomes symptomatic and needs medical attention.
I had a close family member who actually did die of Prostate Cancer and due to its propensity to metastasize to bones, its one hella painful way to go.
Jerking off frequently apparently reduces the calcium deposition and reduces the risks per an Australian study. But too much of ejaculation raises DHT (dihydro testosterone) levels which makes men go bald. So f~~~ that too.
All in moderation.
the same advice for prostate health is,
to my knowledge the same as breast cancer prevention..Dr. John Derry and Dr. Brownstein have indicated that iodine might be important in preventing prostate cancer. Dr. Derry claims that iodine is critical in killing off cancer cells when they appear. Apparently the Japanese have lower rates of breast and prostate cancer. Their diet contains more iodine than ours. That is not absolute proof, but probably based on epidemiological studies.

Another reason to not put off living until retirement.
