Happy Friday

I picked up my son for the weekend and brought him back to MY HOUSE. He kept asking if we were at momma’s house and I had to gently correct him that this is daddy’s house. He picked it up.

On the way to pick up, I got caught by a speed trap and pulled over by a trooper. He asked for my license and insurance. After I handed it to him I said, “Officer, I know I was speeding and I’m sorry. I’m driving 3 hours to pick up my son for the first time since my divorce. I don’t want to be late, because I have no idea what she’ll do.” He said, “Just promise me you’ll slow it down and have a good day with your son.” Then he handed me back my license.

I never got his name, but whoever you are sir, you are a credit to your profession and a good man. My son and I both thank you.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!
