I just saw a YouTube clip called Gym Idiots, because I thought it was going to be funny. A few clips showed a woman pregnant doing heavy weight lifting, and burpees. I’m thinking to myself; “isn’t that dangerous to do to an unborn baby?” If it’s harmful to that kid, that kid is likely going to be born with down syndrome or have brain damage. Here’s the video:
As you can see, she’s well into a pregnancy and is doing heavy gym workout. How stupid is that?! She probably ruined her kid before it’s even born.

Empowerment or not, if anything serious happens to that kid because the mother did intense workouts while being pregnant, she should be jailed for child abuse, but yet, we know how that works.

For some of those people, it’s just ignorance, like that first girl who was doing horrible squats. Someone needs to educate her before she hurts herself. Others should know better.
As for working out while pregnant, from what I understand there is a lot that a woman can still do while pregnant. I’ve seen plenty of pregnant women stay in decent shape with selective movements. I wouldn’t imagine squats would be one of them. I would think the important thing is to avoid anything that compresses your stomach area too much or jerky movements. With the volume of machines available, it shouldn’t be too hard to find something that’s safe.
Aside: My favorite rookie mistake is when people misunderstand how the assisted pull-up machine works. They assume that adding more weight means you’re working harder, not reducing your effective body weight..so they keep adding more weight. I once a 12 year old set it to 100 lbs…I was afraid he was going to actually catapult himself.

I saw this video a couple of days ago. The women in it are beyond stupid.
