Hello fellow MTGOWers. I am a late 20s white male. I’m currently finishing up my college degree in Washington D.C. Yes I am older then most undergrad students. Living in D.C. and being a full-time undergrad student (at a selective college) is apparently not good enough for the women in this town. I’m not a bad looking guy. I have often gotten 2 or even 3 phone numbers off of Tinder and or other dating apps and online websites within an hour or 2. However, once being truthful about my current situation, these women of which 99 percent of are in some kind of career or working on their masters or law degree look at me as if I’m yesterdays garbage. This is after I took 2 years off from the dating scene after my last relationship. Before moving to D.C. a year and a half ago I was engaged and had just bought a house 6 months earlier. I was working a blue collar job and going to school full time. We were within 2 weeks of the wedding. She decided that I wasn’t giving her enough of my time and didn’t like my “lifestyle.” (You know, trying to get my s~~~ together so we could have a better life was apparently devilish of me.) So… She ended up cheating on me with a guy she works with, all the while not having the guts to break it off with me. Well I ended it after a week of trying to “fix” things. Nothing I could do would change her mind. That would have been nice to know prior to signing a 30 year mortgage and paying for a wedding….. Anyway, took a hit on the home when I sold it and was effectively traumatized for a while. Of course I did some re-bound dating and ran through some stuff… But after 3 or 4 gals I was done and effectively shut down. A year later she was married to the guy she cheated on me with. Oh yeah, to top it off she took our puppy who I bought! So I lost my home, dog, future wife, wedding money, 3 years of my life for this c~~~. I have recently heard of so many horror stories from people who have been married for X amount of years only to be blind sided and screwed over losing everything out of no where. Couple that with a stock of women who have gobbled double digit numbers of c~~~s and are a hot dog away from the whore house and you get a bleak outlook from my vantage point. When considering the cost/benefit analysis of going through the dating process, finding someone, blah blah blah… Only to get railroaded. Just not worth it. Having essentially been MTGOW for the past 3ish some years without knowing about the movement and or having the label I can say that while it can be lonely at times, the overall level of stress and daily bulls~~~ is completely gone. I am grateful that I didn’t get married some 3 years ago as things would have clearly been 10x worse. Note: I have had problems prior to that whore as well. Having a community like this to share things and come together is key in my continuing MTGOWing. This is my official declaration of declaring myself MTGOW.
