Greetings from Uruguay, South America, probably one of the most blue pill countries in the world.
I’m a 31 year old MGTOW since about a year ago, before that, I was your average Blue Piller, fully jacked into the Matrix and jumping from s~~~ty relationship to s~~~tier relationship.

My first contact with the Manosphere was the PUA community, who LOVE to shame those who do not play the sacrosanct “G.A.M.E.™”, until I saw through all the utter BS the PUA community is.

Along I found the Ladder Theory and Briffault’s law, in my opinion, 2 must reads for any man, which enlightened me further about the clockwork inside a woman’s head.

And finally MGTOW, introduced to me by the venerable Stardusk and his 3h compilation, along with Sandman’s “Daily dose of Red Pills” I finally freed myself from the Matrix. At first it I found difficult to see the world through the Red Glass, I felt like I lost purpose, for the first time I saw the power of that congenital hole and how enslaved to it I was.
I felt like an addict going through a cold turkey detox… then the death of my ego set me free.

I never married, I did live with one of my Exes, I was put though the “Standard Shaming Package” about marriage, children, etc. and I thank whichever god you prefer that pushed the eject button when I did and didn’t have children with that crazy effectively shackling me until the and of time (or money).

I believe MGTOW is true freedom, freedom is sweet but can be lonely, like it or not, we are part of the world, and most of the world is composed of legions of Manginas, Women (who get p~~~ed primarily because we expose their inner works), and family who don’t really (want to) understand, make it difficult to speak our minds.

I don’t really want to go into any detail about my personal relationships with women because it will be the same as most of you here.
I’ve been used as a Resource, F~~~toy and Emotional Tampon, I’ve been “loved” and subsequently “hated”, and I’ve been Friendzoned, I can say I punched most departure tickets myself and I don’t feel sorry about it… not one bit.

Welcome brother!

Like you, I first googled the term MGTOW after going through a brief PUA phase in my life. I found that the better I understood the machinations of the female mind, the less contact I wanted to have with it. I haven’t sworn off women all together, but I certainly have lost the desire to seek out a relationship. We only get one shot at life and wasting it on a women who does not love you would be a tragedy. Stay strong brother!

Welcome Nando. How is your English so excellent? Did you major in it in Uruguay?

Enjoyed your intro very much. We even made you MGOW of the day after you joined.

Back in 2006-2007 I became intrigued by the PUA lifestyle/ mentality , mostly for research and out of interest in the “formula” which they claim to have down. But my experience with women was pretty vast and furious, and I could tell they didn’t REALLY “get” women as well as they pretend. Most of their tactics seemed so transparent, and if women are good at anything, it’s sniffing out a poser. No way the women I dated (or lived with) would ever have gone out with them.

I accidentally tripped upon David DeAngelo, who was the first PUA I ever heard of. Downloaded his videos and watched them back to back one weekend. Right away, it was extremely bulls~~~ – BUT! – I took a very small handful of useful tidbits away. (most of them apply to MGTOW more than PUA actually).

Turns out David D renounced ALL of his theories and principles in a very public announcement, and mass emailed everyone that he was now getting married. The withdrawal declaration was a laugh-and-a-half. Made himself a lot of money though (he got not one dime from me), but even still, with all that cash, she proposed to him, and that broad-shouldered manjaw of an ass-kicking wife (seriously, she looks like a dude) was the BEST he could do? With some $10+ million?

I also once saw “Tyler Durden” (a well known PUA since DeAngelo) leaving his apartment in Los Angeles. Recognized his nerdy high-pitched voice at once. He was a guest speaker on DeAngelo when he was a more portly shape than he is now. He lectured on what body language NOT to do (so as not to communicate insecurity)…. and then did it himself. Busted.

So I walked behind him for a few blocks as we were coincidentally going in the same direction and he was dressed in the most nerdy attire. I watched as no woman he passed paid any attention to him – even though he looked and tried to make contact. Richly rewarding.

I learned my English here, I started when I was 6, but unlike most youths here, I busted my ass to learn it well when my peers were busy getting pregnant and wasted. Once I finished college, after fighting it out for a bit in our s~~~ty local job market. I started working freelance for US and Canadian companies with English speaking clients, right now, on a typical day; I speak more English than Spanish.

It’s interesting (and I guess somewhat expected) that a lot of us had our starting point in the PUA community, my starting point was ROK and Chateau Heartiste, I personally laughed my ass out with some of Heartiste’s work, dude is a douche, but he’s so fun to read sometimes.

PUA is a business; they are in the business of selling false hope, I remember reading about; I think he was a British PUA, dude was banging 8s and 9s left and right and was capitalizing on it. This guy was no “Brad Pitt in The Fight Club”. BUT one of his past jobs was PR for an important company with a lot of rich and “high value” people in his cel’s address book. Chicks were banging him to get access to that list and trade up, no wonder he was a “Player”

When she says “I love you” the translation is “You have something I want that will benefit me”

Hey Joey PUA means Pick Up Artist, I ABSOLUTELY agree with Sandman on his view on foreign women, In his videos he says many times he’s from Eastern Europe, and when he talked about how women were over there, I thought he was talking about my country.

I live in touristic seaside city of 5000 people that becomes very active only 2 months on the summer, the rest of the year is a beautiful and quiet town with the amenities of a large city.
There are 3 beauty parlors in my block ALONE, THREE, the local gyms are filled with women of all ages all year round, from the local MILF that works out every morning to keep her ass from yielding to the laws of gravity when her hubby is busting his ass on the job/business, to the lil tease who needs to look good in a bikini in January to capitalize on her looks when Whales from the big city start coming to their summer homes to play Catch-A-Whale.

Men in rich countries believe that women on the 3rd world are “better”, they are the same, they just ACT “better” because they think “American = Rich”, the pool of local “rich from good families” dudes is VERY limited compared to the North, competition among women is merciless, if they see a prize in hand, they will drop the hard to get act very quickly and wait for you with their panties in their hands, it’s their sure way to a Green Card, possible meal ticket and first world Consumerism.

Yeah, I’ve done more than my fair share of glossing over PUA stuff, and I’ve always found it at least interesting.

I’ve always found the idea that women think themselves some complex puzzle. Can’t begin to quote the number of times its been suggested that ‘men will never understand women’ and yet it took a handful of guys a little bit of time with the right mindset and here we are. I think it rather funny they don’t seem to understand themselves any better than they thought we did. Maybe just me?

And all they get are low value wife-beating deadbeats, and they have to work full time on top of that to barely make it (if at all) at the end of the month. Down here only 10% of young people between 20 and 35 can afford living alone (Technically I’m considered “Rich” here, LOL). Households require a double income if they have kids.

When a woman says that I hear “You are currently not attractive enough for me to put out, but you seem to have potential, but lets see how you manage my s~~~ tests while I get to assess if you have the material requirements to get into my panties”

I’m sure that if I was a Soccer player (who are like Rockstars or Hollywood actors here), the “Men don’t understand women” suddenly changes to “Baby, you understand women so well, you know just what I want” LOL
