Isaac Newton (25 December 1642 – 31 March 1727) was an English physicist and mathematician who is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution.

    Issac Newton

His book Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (“Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy”), first published in 1687, laid the foundations for classical mechanics.

Newton’s masterwork almost never saw the light of day when the Royal Society rescinded its promise to help pay for publication. The Society was almost broke at the time, having lost a ton of money publishing John Ray and Francis Willughby’s scintillating oeuvre “The History of Fish”. Fortunately, Newton’s friend Edmund Halley (he of comet fame) stepped in to provide the funds.

Newton made seminal contributions to optics, and he shares credit with Gottfried Leibniz for the development of calculus. He was made President of the Royal Society in 1703.

Newton famously shunned the company of women, and never married. The French writer and philosopher Voltaire, who was in London at the time of Newton’s funeral, said that he “was never sensible to any passion, was not subject to the common frailties of mankind, nor had any commerce with women”.

You say "love is a temple, love the higher law" ...You ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl. And I can't be holding on to what you got, when all you got is hurt

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

The man was still a virgin when he dies at 84. People should have as much endurance and intelligence as him nowadays.
