It never worked.

I just found out an answer on another board where a guy asks when will MGTOW will be crime. The best answer comes from Romania, and I will quote it here. In a few words, Romanian men went their own way some time ago during communism, when government has put taxes on MGTOW (people who dont marry and have children) and give social-benefits to those who do.

What you might not read in that article is what I’m telling you right now. The pension system in Romania is f~~~ed: Every generation pays the pension of those from previous generation, the retired people, and that assumes that the number of people in each generation is nearly equal. But those communists created a boom of babies (similar to baby-boomers), and today birth rate is declining again. And guess what everybody is talking about in the last few years in Romania on radio, TV, mass media? The big question is who is going to pay the pension of those boomers who started to retire ? They already have a deficit right now in the budget for pensions.

I’m just laughing my ass when I hear neighbors taking about taking extra measures because they know there wont be enough money to pay their pension after 10 years when they are about to retire.

Now where have I seen that before? Ah.. that’s right… in Romania in the last decade of Ceausescu.
The Great National Assembly (the Politburo) had decided that the birthrate is still too small (it was 2.7 if I remember correctly). So the Party decided to introduce some “stimulus” measures besides banning abortion (which had already been done with the Decree 770 of 1967 – see Decre?ei). These included:
– Massive reduction in taxation and stupidly low prices for various goods if one was married with children.
– A tax on non-married working individuals (mostly men – though it was applied to everyone, including those 5% women) – which basically meant people over the age of 23-25 for those with college degrees and if the individual had no superior education (besides the mandatory 8th grades) – then starting from the age of 18.
– Restriction of goods for non-married individuals – basically, you couldn’t buy a color TV (you could still buy old black&white TVs manufactured in the 50s in the USSR though), you couldn’t buy a car (unless it was necessary for your work), you couldn’t buy gas (unless it was absolutely necessary or you required small amounts), and no reduction or deduction in the price of transportation applied to you over the age of 25, even if you were eligible some (let’s say you worked for the Train Company – whose employees were entitled to very cheap or even free travels – these perks were restricted to married employees)
– Later on, after 1982, being childless (even if married or non-single) was deemed as a moral crime against the Party and the Motherland. There weren’t actual legal punishments but a lot of pressures in the workplace and in society were applied to married individuals to treat childless ones with some sort of suspicion.
– If it took too long to have a child, a Securitate officer was then tasked to watch you – because it meant that either the wife was ill or you were doing something illegal (buying contraceptives from the black market, arranging abortions, etc.)
– Also, as a non-married individual, you weren’t allowed to leave the country. At all. Had you been married, you were allowed, but only you – not the wife and/or the kids. This was the Party’s way to make sure you’ll return and not attempt to run into the West, beyond the Wall.

– Also, as a non-married individual, there was no way on Earth you could be allowed to buy/rent legally more than a tiny one-room apartment. In theory, all the flats belonged to the State. In practice, there were some ways to workaround this – but it was a hard and slow process and it required some bribery as well.

Read this list carefully. I find it horrifying that some of the elements of this list are already in place in parts of the so-called “free world”. At least we executed Ceausescu – so the powers that be will have to wait for my generation to die off until they can impose such s~~~ again in my country.
But I am fearful for those in Western Europe who have no idea how far the State is willing to go and who think that the Cold War is a “conservative legend” or who think that the USSR wasn’t “that bad”.

Nice find, Romanian. The very nature of MGTOW is in its name. We will go our own way NO. MATTER. WHAT. They can attempt illegal taxation, etc. Laws are enforced or changed at the end of a gun barrel, not in the voting booth.

The tide will turn the other way.

Politicians need to remember we vote. The UK and US Governments have already been sent strong messages about not listening to the people. As mgtow grows, the Governments will get sent a strong message. That will be the beginning of big change.

And if we can get numbers up in the UK by 2020 elections, it may happen sooner than we think.

Something similar to what happened in Communist Romania has happened in modern day Japan. The state, the woman, and the corporations had created the perfect circle to screw Japanese men that twisted in on itself and destroyed Japan.

The plan was that companies would not allow a to have a well paying job until they get married.

The woman was even protected by social welfare if she decides to divorce.

What happened. All three parties got too greedy. The state raised taxes on everything to pay for this welfare state. To keep their jobs the corporations forced men to work 80 hour weeks, driving the men into early graves. And the women became abusive and disrespectful to men because the women knew the state was on their side.

As this got worse, men found themselves in a catch twenty-two. The companies would not give a man a well paying job until said man got married to a woman. But, no woman would marry a man until said man had a well paying job.

The boys born into this messed up situation watched this situation get worse and worse as they grew up. Where their fathers were forced to work like slaves and in the end had nothing to show for it. And such, the boys, whom when they became men, rejected this situation. And so the “herbivore men” were born.

And Japan is screwed because their plans require Japanese men to work and get married. As such the birth rate has collapsed.

Also, what is happening in Japan is worse than in Communist Romania. The “herbivore men” of Japan see no future no matter what they do. The herbivore men do not have much to begin with. Most of them live in poverty. So threatening to take what they have will not work. Like taking crumbles from a plate. Threatening imprisonment will backfire, because whom is going to pay to feed, house, cloth, and guard them in prison. And the herbivore men have suffered so much that the threat of pain and death will not work.

And because the Japanese culture of pride. Where the Japanese government, the Japan women, and the Japanese corporations, refuse to admit they were wrong and the men they wish to screw over are in the right. The situation is stalemated until full collapse.

thanks for this alternative view of the Japanese problem – I’ve never seen their ‘herbivore’ phenomenon explained in those terms, but it makes much sense.

“Stop MGTOW” Ha ha! A fantasy not likely to be realized in anyone’s lifetime. MGTOW way of life has been around for longer than any mangina would like to hear. This century won’t be the one MGTOW way of life dies and I have a hunch that the next one won’t be either.
