Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks to all the support shown in this thread – I was sitting at the bar having a smoke yesterday, thinking abut this, and realised that the biggest thing I miss in my life right now is having a bunch of good guys to chat and think and laugh with.

May sound stupid – but on the days when I am struggling and I look at the sky and feel small – I come on here and read abut you guys doing all this s~~~ to be happy and go your own way and I am motivated and reassured that in the end – we are all going to be alright.

When mention in posts about taking someone out and buying them a few drinks, I am not joking.

Sometimes a drink or two and/or good food and a good friend to listen, support and give feedback is just what is needed.

Bartender- get him a double shot of “Maker’s Mark”- on me !

I don’t get my feelings hurt anymore now that I have red pilled and I have a pretty tough hide, usually getting called broken would have stung- especially since I come from a broken family and have had some major lows in the past year, but it just rolled off me.

What prompted the comment – me saying I was happy not being with anyone and just chilling doing my thing. Was told that humans need someone – and that to not, is a sign of being a broken part of the species.

Anyone else get the stink eye from people when you say you are not interested in chasing pussy, key here is, if a lady wants to get plowed then I’m game, but I won’t chase it.

I was talking about Pink Floyd this past weekend with my folks, when The Wall album came up and my mom was asking a few questions because she had seen the movie but wasn’t sure what the whole album was about. I gave her the back story about what motivated Waters to write it. Of course at one point she asks me if I think I have a wall around me. I tried not to roll my eyes. Then I told her that I did, and it’s purpose was to keep all the f~~~ing morons that make up the majority of the human race on the other side and away from me.

Some people just can’t comprehend the idea that some of us enjoy doing things on our own. I’m not forcing myself to live in isolation like a hermit, I just prefer spending a lot of time at home doing what I enjoy, and that happens to not require other people being around.

That’s not to say that if I struck up a friendship with people that I can relate to I wouldn’t spend more time socializing. I just get sick of being the “interesting one” in the eyes of every dullard I end up getting into a conversation with. People older than me usually tell me I’m wise for my age. I don’t see it that way. I’ve striven to elevate myself above the masses of imbeciles as much as possible. That’s basically what it amounts to.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

en_87 this is off topic but I just have to get this off my chest. Whenever I see your avatar I think to myself a whiskey on the rocks and a cigar sound pretty good right now. 🙂

Don’t pick on boats. They are expensive but they are much more rewarding than women.

    1. They don’t care how many drinks you have
    2. They like to fish
    3. They don’t mind if you invite the guys to ride it
    4. They don’t nag
    5. They don’t want to get married
    6. They never go shopping

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a man who never found a wife and he lived happily ever after. The End.

True. . . However, they can smell like fish, but they don’t have to.

Ummm, you might well be the sane one and your accusers the broken ones. I stopped letting society dictate to me a long, long time ago what’s ‘normal’ and what’s not. One of the people who opened my eyes was J. Krishnamurti who’s oft-quoted line “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society” still inspires me. It’s almost as if people like us are born into a cannibal society and shamed when we don’t go along with cannibal behavior. To identify us they give us labels. We’re the loners, the ingrates, the rebels, the thinkers, the revolutionaries, the trouble-makers, and yes, the broken ones. Our only crime – as far as the herd goes – is to question herd behavior, and worse yet, to refuse to participate. The penalty is to be given a label and shunned from the herd, but for people like us this is a blessing because we realize that it’s more important to stay true to ourselves than to seek the approval of others. Peace out!

Very well said @neutron. Thanks for the quote!
I felt the same way all my life. Normalcy – is mediocrity at best, mental illness at worst.
