Remember what we said about getting divorced under tomorrow’s laws? Well, here you go.

I’ve explained this before, but it’s actually bad news for the receiver. If I’m in a 25% tax bracket and give alimony to someone in the 15% bracket the government is subsidizing that payment. Let’s say I pay $10k in alimony. I get a $2,500 break on my taxes and cupcake pays $1,500, giving her $8,500 after tax. Under the new law, I would pay $2,500 in tax, leaving me the ability to pay her $7,500.

The government gets and extra $1,000, taken away from cupcake.

Of course my analysis is based on the assumption that someone cares about how much money you can actually afford to pay, so I’m most likely wrong.

I remember that vividly, Joetech, my expectations about this subject have been served.
Now men – I mean the smart ones – are going to think just a little harder about signing that Castration Contract and my hopes are that millions of men will forgo marriage, that it will create strife and animosity between afianced couples and that many many of them will break up over the hesitant attitude of the men who, by now, we can hope, are likely aware that marriage, if not a farce and a trap, is a very dangerous proportion nowadays.
These Bluepillers keep making it easier and easier for Men to walk away completely. I’m half expecting them to soon lead the guys by the hand all the way to the Plantation gates and do some distance with them on their way to MGTOWtown.
Our numbers keep growing exponentially without a dime spent on advertising.
If they keep doing our job we might as well hang a MGTOW flag in every divorce courtroom and put MGTOW-printed toilet paper in their bathrooms!

Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!

I understand what your saying about the ability to pay but when has logic ever had any common sense in the family court. I can see some that after child support, alimony and at this time with 200 left over having a negative sum after the tax deduction is taken away.

    But I could be wrong.

I welcome the elimination of the alimony deduction because it makes the rich cannot shift their alimony payments on the rest of the people through tax deductions.

I haven’t really followed it that closely since I’m not paying alimony…but is it going to work that way, or is it going to go from you pay cupcake 10,000 dollars pre-tax and she pays taxes on it, to you pay cupcake 10,000 dollars post tax…which at a 25% tax bracket means its actually about 13,400 out of your gross vs the 10,000 gross it is now.

If you’re playing alimony and not fleeing to Russia then you deserve it.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

The concept of alimony is so ridiculous to me. If the government said you had to physically give her one of your testicles, that’s on par with the alimony BS.

Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.
