So, I want to talk about gold diggers on YouTube. This is probably going to end up being the same conversations as with gold diggers in general, but I really wanted to get my thoughts out there. And I will admit that even though there are some men who do it too (like Jenna Marbles’ limitless boyfriends), I’m talking about the women here.
And this has been a growing trend not just on YouTube, but on the internet in general. I’ll name three examples:
PewDiePie and CutiePieMarzia – this is one of those cases where I know Marzia hasn’t broken up with this guy yet, but it just stirs me that this guy starts a relationship with this woman, and given his high-ass status on YouTube, convinces her to make a YouTube channel just for her to get five million subscribers. They both are living off of this s~~~ now, which is amazing.
RayWilliamJohnson and Anna Akana – this one is a definite case of gold digging. Right here. Right f~~~ing here. Here we have Ray, a guy who simply makes jokes about viral videos, and he has 10,000,000 subscribers. Then a low-key, down-on-her-luck actress comes into his life, they start dating, and he starts sleeping with her. He convinces Akana to make her own YouTube channel, in which she gets 800,000 subscribers instantly. Then in mid-2014, they break up. They never contact each other again. At this point, Akana has over 1,000,000 subscribers, and Ray is doing skits, films, comics and other types of s~~~. Soon after that, she starts talking about gold digging being fine, and this year says that boys should be taught not to rape. And she gets a new boyfriend that she does a podcast with. F~~~ing bitch. Just f~~~ing disgusting pushing an agenda like that towards people when you use dirty tactics and intimate relationships to get famous in the first place.
Bashurverse and ClaraBabyLegs – this one is just….weird. Here we have a guy who gets a bunch of subscribers (a million to be more precise) playing MineCraft, and he starts dating this girl. Her channel ends up getting 100,000 subscribers and they both are down-on-their-luck before reaching internet fame. Then Bashurverse makes a video containing very personal stuff (personal as in he committed pedophilia early in his life). The internet called him a pedophile and a rapist, and it got to the point where ClaraBabyLegs broke up with him. Then one of Bashur’s friends and her Twitter account slowly gave way to evidence that shows that she was a gold digger. Then they got back together again and talked about a miscarriage or something, tased each other and all goes well, right? Nope. I still have a weird feeling about this.
Anyways, I wanted to get these thoughts out there just for notice.
I’m now curious when Markiplier gets a girlfriend how popular SHE will get.

I think if one gets sloppy, it can be a problem. In regards to RWJ, I think he had decline after the whole record thing fell apart. He was never the same after that. Will see what happens with Markiplier. But, then I speak out of my realm on relationship stuff. I am just working to get my life going as it, whether someone is in it or not. I just ask they don’t mess things up.
