Seriously. Go outside. I start my days with a quick 1-2 mile run before sitting down to actually be productive. It doesn’t take more than 20 minutes and it’s a good breakfast substitute. You would not believe the focus you get by skipping the starchy, sugary breakfast foods and getting a moderate jog instead, and then having a black coffee.

I hear every now and then from some dudes of red-pill persuasion who basically stop taking care of themselves, or I look around my workplace and see nearly everyone is at least a hundred pounds overweight. Sweat every day, express that wonder drug flooding your veins. We are the nectar of the gods, my dudes.

    Advice from this reformed fat-ass.

If you’re worried about sweat or smell, keep a change of clothes in your car and a stick of deodorant in your desk, not that anybody in the real world will point anything out (they’re all terrified of confrontation).

I’m addicted to adrenaline, the homemade kind that’s produced naturally, not synthetic! I get a rush just thinking about it!

I’ve been doing pitch-fork reps laying down Appalachian tar on junkyard trail. (Woodchips) I’ve bailed moved and spread, several small dumptruck loads! It’s been my morning workout every other day, shovel and spread chips until the mayflies come out to feast on anything breathing hard and sweating!

The outdoors is good. It helps to clear my focus or take my mind off certain things that are not good to dwell on. I like to cycle and walking/jogging barefoot on the beach near me or going for a dip in the sea.

Good for you broski. Keep it up. I do 5 miles every afternoon. It’s my way of flushing my mind.

I do 1-2 in the morning to loosen up and focus, and then I take about an hour instead of lunch to do something that really makes me sweat.

Side benefit: it’s really hard to be a fat-ass when you’re strenuously active every day. It improves every other aspect of my life.

    Most definitely.

Everyday after work, I’ve been long boarding for about 1-2 hours. The wind feels amazing, and its a good workout too.

After that, I go to the gym and jump rope for 30-45 mins, then I’ll lift for a particular muscle group (based on routine).

I’m about 8-10% body fat depending on how much I eat.

It is pretty tough to remain at 8% at all times. You have to be extremely dedicated, and disciplined.

My problem is I love food and good craft beer.

    Go outside

The act of being away from the / a work environment for 20 minutes means as much as the exercise / caloric consumption does. Being immersed within human-made environments orients one toward selfish or self interested goals.

I’m currently in the 15-20% range. I used to be grossly overweight ( 6’1 and 270 pounds ). Food was a coping mechanism for a life wildly beyond my control.

Now that I’m disciplined, and I maintain a weight between 205 and 220 (closer to 205 naturally), I think clearer. Exercise is fun. I have more energy sometimes than I know what to do with. I was so wired last night that I didn’t sleep, and I’m not tired or fatigued. It’s the damnedest thing.

On an “update” note, the winter weight I allowed is mostly peeling off and some new neighbors in a nearby office space that just got leased and filled in the last 6 months have accidentally revealed they watch me train. I’m a little bit of a madman on the grassy mound.

The smell of the grass, the sweat, the compartmentalization of work (briefly), it all adds up to form my own variation on meditation. When you’re busting ass and slowly building back to handstands after a wrist injury (the end of my ulna is a titanium pin), everything else falls away except the precision needed to hold form.

Even 10% is not too shabby!

Spend a good part of every day outside.
Brother’s farm has more then I can ever catch up on doing. In a few weeks going to buy some caves turn them into steers. Simple process take a rubber band and place it above the nuts, in a few weeks they just fall off. No need for all this cutting and mess.

3 of the 4 rotation lots are ready. Picked up a bag of deer corn we are going to plant once we get the first few in, by the time their old enough to start eating feed the corn will be high enough we can start rotation of harvesting part chopping it up for feed.
