I would think MGTOW would be wholeheartedly in favor of abortion. I thought the whole point was NOT to get tangled up with kids etc? Maybe I’m not a MGHOW after all…..

That said, men should have post-conception right of refusal too, but good luck with that. Equality my ass.

For me, I don’t really dwell on the topic of abortion. If you want one, have at it. It’s your choice. The fetus can’t really think at the moment.

But I hate when people use issues like this to just up their status and be considered “inspirational”.

Abortion and contraception are two very different things. As soon as the woman gets pregnant, you DO get tangled up with kids weather they are born or not, they exist, and aborting them is just covering up your mistake at the expense of another human’s life. Basically you are taking away all the opportunities from that (future) person to choose his way in life, so that you can go your way.
As an (imperfect) analogy, the best way to avoid prison is not to Kill the witness to your crime, it is to avoid committing the crime in the first place.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not some religious fanatic, far from it. It’s just that aborting babies that would be viable humans outside the womb seems to much like murder to me. I’ve been struggling for a long time with this, but that’s how I see it now.
As a side point, when this type of “killing for comfort” becomes commonplace, how can one expect to have any peaceful civil society with any kind of moral order? When we are willing to kill OUR OWN little babies because of the inconvenience of taking care of them, is it not natural to expect that people would kill/steal from/rob/cheat/defraud complete STRANGERS in order to better their own life?

Anyway, to each their own, I just felt I needed to clarify my own position on this.

Disclaimer: My position may be biased, but I think the men who are pro-abortion would also at least reconsider their stance if this happened to them: I already had kids, so one more would have made no negative difference to me. I wanted a big family. But when my wife got pregnant again, SHE decided that my new child would be aborted (aka killed) because she wasn’t “ready” for another one. Can you imagine how that felt? Probably not, but I can tell you, that right then my marriage was over. I’m still married because I want to raise my existing kids.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!
