I feel like I need to share this short anecdote, since it makes me quite happy. I have a half-brother, my mother and stepfather had two children together and the older of the two is male. He is skinny, caring, with braces and glasses, and just turned 9. Since he was born, however, my mom has been “programming” him, attempting to turn him into her puppet (much like she tried with me). and I thought she was succeeding. But during a family gathering, he had to play with his cousins, two little girls who have been spoiled since they plopped out their mother’s womb, who are on they’re way to be bitches, and they wanted to play with dolls. Not only that, but that he played with the dolls alongside them. But he said “I don’t want to play with dolls, I like to play with nerf guns, so I’m going to play with nerf guns” to which they answered “Then you can’t play with us!”, and calmly he answered
“I DON’T want to play with you, I won’t play with you again, because you girls want me to play things you like, and not things I like”. He then proceeded to pickup his toy gun, and walk off to a different side of the backyard, set up soda cans in a row, and shoot them, all the while the girls ran to their mother in tears because he didn’t want to play with them. He then ignored my aunt’s nagging of why he needs to play with them, and ignored them for the remainder of the day. While from an outside perspective it doesn’t seem like much, coming from a gyno-centric family, this is a small victory, and a step in the right direction from him.Keep it up kid, save a lifetime of bs

Anonymous23What a legend.
When he turns 13, show him this site… he will learn so much.
That’s actually pretty impressive. The amount of conditioning you go through as a young person can really grind you down. This is when you’re only just developing some self confidence. To have people around you say to be a man and adult you need to be doing A, B, and C all the time is hard. The boys job is not to make the other girls around him happy. If they’re not happy playing dolls without him, tough s~~~, find something more fun to play than dolls. I would suggest nerf guns.
Yes, it is better to learn while still young,I had a very early rude awakening and as a result never married or had kids, even with my few girlfriends I was careful of such things like never sharing the same address and practicing birth control.
You go boy, don’t stop, keep going because you are the hope next generation needs.
Anonymous14You brother deserves a pat on the back. If he looks up to you, you should encourage him all you can to keep on being himself.
