Eh, kinda doubt they wrote the song specifically with MGTOW in mind. Definitely in response to the result of men going their own way, though – namely, that they can’t find any “good boys”.

To the singer – or at the very least, the songwriter, if not one and the same: You spent your teens, and likely your twenties and maybe even more time still, ignoring and perhaps even outright ridiculing the “good boys” who no doubt swarmed around you. Instead, you went for the “bad boys” because they got you more excited in the short-term. Why? Because back then you didn’t waste a single thought on the future, whether your own or that of any children you might have. Now, the future has caught up to you, and the bad boys have either run away or treat you like disposable trash. So, you start looking for the good boys. The problem? You treated them like crap for years, even decades, and now they want nothing to do with you.
