I would even use a private detective TODAY to find out her whereabouts and have “my fun” with her. (car, house… no details here, but very expensive jokes than would make me laugh for months)

It’s true, female humans do mature faster than men, especially if there is no strong male present as they grow up. It’s evolved into them. It’s a survival mechanism because reproductively viable females have an inherent biological value for any incoming male, whereas prepubescent females are just another burdensome mouth for him to feed. I am not big on natural selection, and I know this isn’t the context you were referring to, but I given the history of humans, it makes perfect sense for women to generally develop physically before men.

Just imagine. If your a man who’s made it to appoint where he wants to select a wife and start his own family, what are you going to look for. Obviously, you want a woman who can give birth, and the younger the better. Therefore, the woman who reach puberty at a younger age would be select by the most powerful men. A woman who doesn’t reach puberty till late would be selected by the least powerful men, if at all. Therefore, it seems that early puberty, if genetic, would become the more common trait.

Same wouldn’t be true for men. First, women didn’t select men for procreation. A man wasn’t deemed ready and worthy for procreation till he was ready to support a family…which doesn’t happen at puberty no matter when puberty occurs. A man who hits puberty at 11 would have an advantage over one who hits at 13, but would be neglible by the time he is 18. As well both boys would be expected to work and learn at the same rate regardless of puberty.

Back to present day, I have an 11 year old girl who’s hit puberty and 13 year old boy who hasn’t yet. My daughter is definitely more interested in adult things, but that doesn’t really make you mature. Which one is more dependable? Definitely the boy. My daughter likes to cook and bake and does it well. She cares much more about how she dresses. She likes being around adults more than kids her own age. But at the same time, she seems less sure of who she is, if that makes sense.

Maturity is such a vague word. They are both developing differently in different ways. Love them both and think they are great kids. Just different.

Girls do mature earlier than boys. But there are some caveats to understanding this.

A monkey baby learns to walk faster than a human baby -it matures faster but I never saw a monkey drive a car or read a book. Some complex things take longer to develop.

Firstly, there is a ceiling to female maturity which is lower than that to male maturity -how many sages in history were women? Women seldom become wise like men usually they just become shrewd. If you are not building as high you don’t need to spend as long laying foundations and so you can complete the job earlier.

Secondly, women spoil earlier -like soft fruit. They have a use by date that is expired just about when a man’s best years start. So they need to get out on the market soon.

What is required of a woman is simpler than what is required of a man. She can learn to be a good mother in a relatively short time (if educated towards it in the home -which these days they are actually educated in the opposite way). A man however is required to prove himself either by success in life or in sport or war (not so much in war in the present age but it will come again) before women become interested in him. A woman need only demonstrate good genes (looks) and a pleasant helpful temperament to make her very much sought after by men.

A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

What’s kinda funny is that my son is having to deal with being in middle school athletics where most of the boys have already reached puberty and he has not. That can be rather rough for a boy. He also has a June birthday, meaning he’s younger than almost all he’s pier’s However, he’s handled it rather well. How is that for maturity?

I must say though, boys in general seem to be more mature about it then they were in my day. It also doesn’t help that size wise, he’s slightly above average despite being ‘behind’. He also wears a size 11 shoe, two size bigger than his 17 year old half brother, and I’m 6’3″ (a late bloomer myself). He has good reason to believe that he will develop just fine.

I already had a full beard back in the 11th to 13th grade. And the c~~~s and the (jealous classmates) wanted me to cut is off because it makes me look older…

But looking like a teacher kept me out of schoolyard aggressions and conflicts. The beard caused “respect” and shaming because of being unc~~~ed became rare.
