When my son was in the 3rd grade, he ran into some issues in the afterschool program. One day he was making a lego tower, and a buddy of his thought it would be fun to knock it over. My son got made and told him not to do that again. The kid did it again, so my son gave him a bloody lip. Problem solved.

But then the kids parents didn’t like seeing their kid having a bloody lip so they complained. The same sort of thing happened 2 more times and my son got suspended from the afterschool program. A week later, a different kid kicked him on the playground so he went and told the teacher. The teacher basically told him to suck it up.

Not only are kids not allowed to learn how to deal with their own problems, they are not even given up a consistent framework of rules to follow. It took a while for him to get his head back on straight after all that.

Ok. Then do it.

A lot of people say that if you stand up to a bully they’ll always back down. That’s bulls~~~. One of the bullies in my school busted me right in the nose when I stood up to him. I’d rather get a bloody nose than run away though.

Another bully in my school was a bad ass motherf~~~er and strong as hell. When I stood up to him, he just made fun of me and laughed. Yet another one who f~~~ed with me hit me a few times and then I almost knocked his ass out. He couldn’t touch me after I started punching back.

In any case, I never ran or backed down and I have no permanent scars from any altercation. You can’t see a cowards scars, but they run the deepest. Was I scared? Every damn time, but I still stood my ground.

In spite of any bad parenting that my son got. He’s grown up pretty well. Fortunately he joined the military and basic training certainly helped him grow up strong.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Gillette Commercial was created for women. Since women do most of the household purchasing in the USA, they’ll buy these razors for their husbands.

It’s a lot harder to ban Proctor and Gamble products than I thought. Razors no big deal, never used Gillette. Had to buy Irish Spring body wash today instead of Old Spice. Got Colgate instead of Crest toothpaste. Even the oral B products are PandG, got denti-pick lol American company though. Gonna need a plan b when my Tide runs out. We need to bring back the neighborhood market with more selection. My grocery store is basically a distributor for PandG.
