I got divorced at 44 and never married again, I had a few assets and whilst I had no issue agreeing a deal with my ex, no way was I going to bring assets to the table where a women had nothing , I was half red half blue I guess.

I know a couple of guys who lost their jobs at 55 , wife left they had to sell up pay her off, the poor guys never really had the years left to bounce back financially , one never worked again.

Anytime is a good time to get out , but the earlier the better.

Of late travelling I have met a couple of guys 65 and 70 who never married , some saw it years ago.

Sadly most have had several marriages, the one thing clear is the multiple marriers have way less finance.

Every word posted on this forum whilst stories and tales of what happened prove without a shadow of doubt a man is only a resource to a women, that’s why she lets him f~~~ her.

Well said. I’m nearly 51 and never married/never will. I have NO debt and live well within my means. I’m in continuous amazement at guys who are 3 – 5 X divorced with children in each marriage. Their payouts must be staggering.

Absolutely…its f~~~ing insane, I’m so glad to be in the never married club, and I never will. It pretty much solidified it for me when I had a girlfriend who had 70k in student loans. I probably had a net worth around 20-30k at the time…but it really got me thinking how a short marriage and having to split the difference would be a massive loss for me and a windfall for her. Even if we married and things worked out well, by the time we paid off that 70k debt with interest being added on to it, it could have been 150k in savings compounding for me instead…that is a pretty expensive price for some pussy that has already been around the block.

The older I get and the more I accumulate the worse of a deal it becomes. I just don’t see why I’d sign a contract saying if my relations~~~ with some female ends I’ll have to pay her a six figure sum at this point to f~~~ off. Why can’t we sign a contract saying if we ever get divorced she has to stop over and blow me and make me dinner twice a week for the next 10 years? Divorce probably wouldn’t be so popular with the women if that is what a divorce settlement looked like, but of course they love divorce raping guys when its so lop sided in their favor.

Well said. Yes, “any time is a good time”. The only consideration, is those who have young children as some planning is needed. But eventually that bandaid needs to be ripped off, it’s gonna suck either way.

55 Divorced for 9 years now. I regretted getting married 6 months after the wedding. My wife was extremely violent. Only reason I stayed married was I simply couldn’t afford the divorce. I pulled the eject lever as soon as I was financially able to.

I was lucky and got off pretty light. My neighbors (except one guy): the wives have them by the b~~~~. The exception is that one of my neighbors is chronically unemployed; and his wife works full time. It’s a long term marriage, so if she divorces him he can make a really good case for lifetime Alimony (Manimony).
