Ya know, I’ve constantly heard feminism is about demolishing gender roles and how feminism is for both men and women. The biggest reason I think this is funny is because women no longer sit in the kitchen poppin out babies all their lives which is fine, but when it comes to men…. we still have to….
-Open doors for women
-Pay for dinner
-Know how to fix cars, lawnmowers, household appliances, and everything else short of a nuclear reactor because “that’s what men do”
-Work our ass off to pay bills and support a family

So, what about all the normal male gender roles? What are you doing about them? Nothing? Oh, okay. We’ll just keep our old ones and you can have none whatsoever and make yourself completely unappealing and then wonder “Where are all the good men?”

The whole gender role thing reminds me of a genders studies course I took in college. Obviously changing gender roles was something we talked about. The class was like 3/4 female, and of course they were all girl power girls can do whatever guys can do. I’ve never been one to hold back in classes like that, and teachers generally enjoy it when they have someone speaking the other side for them so they don’t have to be the devils advocate, so of course, I spoke my mind about how there are some gender roles I’d really look for in a potential future spouse.

Now of course the women thought I was a sexist pig when I said it should be the woman’s job to be cleaning and cooking, but when I said I’d have no problem doing the traditional man jobs, like taking care of the lawn, shoveling snow, raking, car maintenance, etc, it totally went over their heads that those things were an even trade. It was like they though well yeah…those are the man jobs, you should be doing them, but cooking and cleaning aren’t the woman jobs. Well uhh…wtf are? I’ll gladly sit inside and make dinner in a nice air conditioned kitchen if you want to get your ass out in 90 degree weather to mow the lawn in the middle of the summer…oh wait, you don’t want to do that either?

Anyway, long story short…which I didn’t really pick up on the big picture at the time, was how the consensus among the women in the class was basically I need to change the way I think or I’ll never find a woman willing to put up with me and marry me. What I didn’t see back then though, was when you fast forward 10 years…those are exactly the kinds of women hitting the wall at 1000mph complaining “Where have all the good men gone?”

The ultimate problem with their mind set was that they never understood with their s~~~ty attitudes they were turning themselves into a negative. If I add a negative to my life, I’m losing. I’m not missing out on anything by not having a miserable feminist ruin my life, I’m in a better position without her. They were so arrogant they couldn’t comprehend that, they thought men would always be chasing them. Yeah maybe there were some aspects of the traditional female gender role within a relationship they weren’t infatuated with, but at the same time how many guys find it appealing to go work a 60 hour week, then on your one day off lose 3/4 of it to bulls~~~ chores and spend the last 1/4 of it getting bitched at because you just want to relax and watch the game? According to women us men love that!

BTW, girls, I both mow the lawn and cook for myself. I do the cleaning, laundry and car maintenance too.

Its funny how little effort the traditional female jobs take with modern technology. They have seriously f~~~ed themselves over by letting guys figure this out. Grocery shopping takes me about 15 minutes and I go 1-2 times per week, cooking if I don’t want to put much time in it, about 5 minutes worth of throwing ingredients in a crock pot and I have dinners for the next 3-4 nights, laundry…throw clothes in washer, push button, go watch netflix for 30 minutes, pause netflix, go throw clothes in dryer, push button, back to netflix, cleaning maybe an hour. Those poor women…totally over worked lol.

Its to the point now where every time I talk to a woman that says how she wants to be a stay at home mom I laugh at her. In theory you want me to support you, which means my income is getting cut in half, and in exchange you will do for me what I could do for myself in a few hours a week?

Take out the garbage
pay the mortgage
pay the bills
Hook up the cable
parent their kids
mowing the lawn
Shovel snow
etc, etc, etc

Women……..doesn’t look like we need them for anything. Like I said in the past just liabilities now.

Women have played on Western Men’s sense of honour. This is why they have been able to work it so they can be these independent strong feminists and still have a man pay for their dinner and open doors for them.

It’s catching up with them though, it might have worked with my generation as there was still an overlap but with young men now they don’t know about the old ways and see women as equals, the double standards are increasingly confusing to them and that is where the backlash will come from.

On a different note, the gender role for women now is whore they can be strippers, actual whores, models, they can sell their sex and are encouraged to do. The gender role for males is to pay for it.

Keeps the population down and men and women divided 😉

Gender roles are normal because that is how humans survived all these years. Women say gender roles shouldn’t exist yet they expect men to make the first move, have a plan, pay the check, be the provider, and keep them safe which all are gender roles.

A great example of how normal gender roles are is when I helped my friend and his girlfriend move. It was me, my friend, his girlfriend, and his brother all helping carry everything off the truck. Now when we started to get things off the truck you know what naturally happened? Us 3 guys lifted the heavy stuff while my friends girlfriend started putting stuff away in the kitchen area. No one agreed on what we were doing because it was natural. You don’t expect the petite woman to do all the heavy lifting while the men put away pots, pans, and plates although that would be true equality lol.

And this is where it becomes confusing and unfair, if I am meant to pay for dinner, provide, keep them safe even at my own risk, lift heavy things etc and yet if I want her to stay home and cook for me then I am a sexist pig.

The current idea of gender roles basically makes a man a slave.
