Anonymous29Well . . . I tried to register @ MGTOWHQ but it seems like their forum filters do not allow world wide registrations, regional only.
I may be wrong but the end result is, I’m registered here now.
So . . . .
Thirty or forty years ago there was no such thing as MGTOW movement. However, saying that, there was a silent MGTOW state of mind
so to speak, that many man had adopted or grew into as they developed and acquired wisdom. I guess that at that time, MGTOW state of mind
would be described best in one word “selfish” within reason . . but not so selfish so it becomes detrimental to oneself and wider society, but
just enough so YOU can do you own thing without restrictions or conditions imposed by female element.
Unlike the majority of men who are going MGTOW nowday’s, I did not live through many horrors or difficulties as they have. By the time I was 21 or 22 I had come to a conclusion that “this is my life” and I do not need to please her, her friends, families and society. Again, all within reason and sound judgement. I was free to run my businesses, race cars and do any sports without having someone telling me it’s dangerous or to stop for the sake of a relationship.
All women I have known since then were welcome to come for a ride for as long as they chose to but no free rides no free lunch. Considering that western society requires males to make the first move in forming a relationship (male/female) I insisted that rules be applied to the relationship as early as possible and not be watered down by feelings and emotions, but rational thinking, come what may.
Unlike most of my friends I had a good and successful relationship with a woman for 25 years until she passed away from a serious illness a couple of years ago. We were as different as chalk and cheese, as different as black and white colours. Different hobbies, characters, she liked horses I liked racing cars etc, but none of those differences were in our way. We respected each other’s space, time and a myriad of other things that seem to get in the way with other couples. All this. . . . while I was watching other male friend’s of mine loosing minds, marriages kids, self respect and finally them selves.
This may not be an Introduction in a traditional sense and I never intended it to be, mainly because I’m an older guy and am giving myself the liberty to stray slightly from the usual guide lines. It is what it is. Saying that, I’m more than willing to participate in any discussions on this forum and if need be, any . . one to one conversations if any of you guys wishes so.
DRL.

Welcome to the site DRS.
It was 25 for me but like you I never got married and settled into the MGTOW mindset and there are a number of us on the forums like that. There are also the divorced MGTOW’s and the younger crowd as well.
Welcome!
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Anonymous29My apologies for making another post here but I must own up to the fact that although I’m an Aussie, English is my second language and I do make mistakes when writing. Sometimes in spelling, grammar or context etc. So please don’t rip me a new one. I got enough as it is.
Your English is better than some native English speakers! Welcome, sorry to hear about your loss; all things must pass, my condolences.
I was trying to become a MGHOW before I knew the word MGTOW aswell, phrases like “autonomous” , “self-sufficient” and “selfish” were applicable and scrawled on my notice board 🙂 What was the foundation of your sovereignty, DRS_au?

Anonymous29
What was the foundation of your sovereignty, DRS_au? Late 1977, getting dumped three or four hours before spinal surgery. Blindsided, no forewarning or any reason given or explanations before or after the event. But the last nail in the coffin was two years later when my live in g/f had abortion without consulting me due to her social climbing parents. It never made me hate women but my mindset had turned 180 degrees and I never lookt back.
That’s the genesis of your sovereignty, but what I was asking about was more like … your personal life philosophy; what principals, perspectives and life-practices arose from those events?
I’m just really interested to see how a MGHOW from before the word/phrase “MGTOW” lived and what kind of ethics, philosophy and ideas you have about your personal approach to MGTOW 🙂
P.S. that is some heavy s~~~, I’m sorry to hear that you had to go through such s~~~ty female bulls~~~.

First about the last sentence in your post. There is no need to feel sorry for me, it’s life and s~~~ happens, but thank you for your thoughts.
Now, I can not address everything you ask of me nor can I eloquently write like KeyMaster or Sidecar who are extremely good on this forum as are many others, but I will do my best with the limited vocabulary. I’ll make it as short and to the point as I can.
The events that you are talking/asking about were in no way a turning point in my life. They contributed a bit but by no means extremely important in larger scheme of things. Other events in my life, such as being shot at and shot, being a political refugee in Europe in 1960’s, realizing that I’m a non believer and that life in general is not fair, all this to some extent, big or small, desensitized me from many illusions about life by the time I was 14/15.
All this development was not through study of any particular philosophy, but slow gradual accumulation of lifes experiences. Just like what we slowly learn as kids, our behaviour, how we relate to every one, what we do, what choices we make. So by the time those two bad relationship episodes were over, I was disappointed but I wasn’t looking for the nearest tree to hang myself or slash my wrists. They were two pot holes in the road but not the end of the road. And today they are just another memory. Pure and simple fact of life is that although most of us live in a society and we are surrounded by other people, but we are still alone. So on that basis, I lived my life as best as I could for myself and having any emotional baggage is a waste of energy and time.
About philosophy and ethics pre MGTOW. Surprisingly they are much the same but with differences. The differences are that ethics with younger generation can be self serving when its in their interest. This does not mean that I’m painting every one with the same brush. Parents still teach their kids in general terms how to behave in public or how to be an ethical person. Failure to do the right thing has been on the rise and there are many reasons for it and electronic media and communication has done the most damage with so much rubbish available even a smart sane person has a hard time deciding what is wright or wrong, a lie or truth. And the best for last. Female kind, fail in virtually every ethical, moral standard that you can imagine. They are nothing, nothing like what women were 30 or 40 years ago. Shameful.
I hope you got something out of this. My inability to use any big fancy wordery to give this post a bit of punch is my failing but it is what it is. Just my thoughts and some experiences.
