This could be under several different forum headings, so I ‘ll post it here.

Background- I posted an entry entitled “The Pleasures of Fatherhood”; was a moment shared. I happened to come to MGTOW AFTER starting my family and divorcing- the “cake was baked”, so to speak.

I was very lucky- my divorce was relatively benign. I know that. And I am also lucky enough to have a strong relationship with my kids. I’ve seen paternal estrangement up close- I KNOW how absolutely f~~~ed the system is. So I’m not saying it isn’t.

All that being said, that initial topic and its replies(!) got me to thinking- what are the opinions of MGTOW members regarding “fulfillment?”

Those who’ve gone Full Galt, and those, like me, coming in after that possibility has ended?

    Right now, for myself, it’s-

    – my kids ( DON’T HAVE KIDS!! -too late, I already DID!) Watching them grow, and thrive, in spite of the divorce, is profound. Fellow Fathers, you know what I mean.

    – My Friends- Red pill men, some of whom I’ve known over 30 years, for whom the bonds of Brotherhood are strong. They keep me grounded. Iron Sharpens Iron.

-My Work (I enjoy it and find purpose in it, plus I get to mentor, which I enjoy.)

    -My Hobbies
(shooting and archery, guitar, Lifting, homesteading, and a few others.) Developing useful skills and resources is a lifelong pursuit.

    -Reading
Right now it’s World History, Scripture (Job, Proverbs, The Pauline writings), and the Greek and Roman writers ( Homer, Aesop, Cicero, Aurelius). Without a thorough understanding of the past, we cannot understand the present. We ARE our ancestors’s legacies.

What about you- what gives your life purpose and fulfillment?

That sounds like a healthy list of things that give you purpose and fulfillment.

Strangely my list is not too different.

My children for sure. They are my stake in the future and even if it is a bleak future that is all the more reason to have a stake in it. Its just about to get interesting again, shame it probably won’t be in my time but I will do my best to prepare my children for the interesting times. In easy times there is no real victory to be won as any nonsense can flourish (Even feminism). Only the best come through a dark age. I mean to be a successful ancestor.

I like history. I always have. Right now I am re-reading Homer again, having finished Plutarch’s lives. Every decade brings me something different from Homer. When I was young it was the battles and the bravery, now it is the social interactions, the ways that friends are won and problems diffused, the ways good kings rule. The social rules have changed much but the people skills are the same. I am interested in most classic literature but I had too much of Yaweh and his bible as a boy and that is off the reading list these days.

I find historic artefacts can be quite profound in helping one place things in perspective and I have a fair old collection from a Winchester smokeless rifle to Mesolithic arrow heads and a bunch of stuff I picked up in my days in Africa, made by the hands of those I knew.

There is also nothing like getting out into nature to put things in context and feel one’s purpose. I do like to do that.

I also like to visit ancient sites, ideally with some of my children.

When I get to catch up with old friends it is always good. Should find more time for it!

I like to shoot. The strangest thing I discovered was that it brings me face to face with my character flaws just as scaring myself on cliffs and mountains used to. The same things hold me back in the quiet concentration of a target competition as did when leaving the comfort of a sky hook to try to drag myself off a headwall on drained arms once did. Had I only known that I could have worked hard, saved money, stayed home and learned it all on the range! (Though in all fairness the adventures were good).

My business gives me purpose and satisfaction. It could be better but I made it myself with my sweat and it won’t perish easily now.

I live to ride my motorcycle.

Being alone with your thoughts, with the wind blowing in your ears, really puts your mind at ease. It drowns out any negative thoughts and puts a smile on your face.

You will never see a motorcycle parked outside of a shrink’s office. Best therapy ever.

I used to love heading down to the pier, drink some beer and go fishing, or take the jet ski out. But all the boat whores ruined that for me. Every c~~~ in a bikini got more annoying with every drink, and the blue pilled dicks would do ANYTHING just to see a pair of t~~~.

I ride out into the country and leave all that bulls~~~ behind me.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!
