F~~~in' redpill ruining my anime…

😀 Kidding, of course. Well, kind of. Let me explain:

Y’know how everyone has things they have or do that help them de-stress? Some go for walks, some down a coupla shots, some play video games, and so forth? Well, mine is anime. Watch a few episodes and get lost in the fantasy, enjoy teh 2D waifus, etc. But lately more and more I’ve been noticing I get annoyed with some of the things dem sexy anime chicks say and do, where before I hadn’t noticed or even found somewhat endearing. Noticing how useless they are, even to the point they hinder the main character, but hypocritically criticizing them for the slightest thing that goes wrong. Don’t get me started on tsunderes. Any person who has half a brain should and would have kicked them to the curb, but no, 9.9999999999 times out of 10 the protag looks past all that and is usually really nice to them, defending them against the bad guys, etc. And only in the extremest of rare cases does that maybe pay off, but what payoff? Congrats, you put your ass on the line a thousand times over this anime, now you get to have a happy ending with the woman who made your life a living hell. See, this is what I mean. 2 years ago s~~~ like this would have never crossed my mind. Again, luckily it doesn’t usually interfere with my enjoyment of the anime overall, but it does take me out of it quite a bit.

It also got me wondering, especially since hearing about the “herbivore male” thing going on in Japan, is this the animator’s way of trying to redpill the readers/viewers? Show them through anime and manga(because it would likely be silenced and/or ignored and/or shut down if they were to try and say it outright) that this is what real women are like? Would they really be that clever, and I wonder if it’s worked at all, because before taking the red pill, I likely would never have noticed myself.

Anyway, just felt the need to get this out there. Any fellow otakus find themselves thinking the same thing lately?

Not being that familiar with anime, I can’t make any definitive comments but I have seen enough to know that many of the male characters are spineless. And by that I mean completely spineless. There seem to be some masculine characters too but maybe it’s a Japanese cultural thing to really portray betas as really wussy?

I like Planetes, Moonlight Mile, and Dance in the Vampire Bund. There’s some crap in them my redpill framing reacts to. You can wish things may be nice like they have it but you know reality isn’t anime, or even makes a watchable story.

From what i understand, japanese herbivore men (the majority of men in japan) don’t really care for that element of anime either. There is ALWAYS some bulls~~~ romantic side story where the hero, who is generally shy and awkward with women, gets his big-boobed, big-eyed dream girl in spite of his incredibly beta tendencies.

It could be that this is the japanese version of leftist propaganda (ie instead of shaming men, they attempt to motivate men towards the salaryman lifestyle through positive reinforcement) or maybe this is just their attempt to appeal to the beta nerd inside all of us to sell more anime. Either way, it is incredibly unrealistic and annoying, especially when viewed through a red pill perspective.

It is interesting to compare and contrast japan with western culture, there are many parallels but it is also very different. Over there instead of becoming a beta provider, meeting a whore (after she has had her share of chad c~~~s) and marrying/impregnating hef, only to wind up divorced, alone, and paying after being separated, they stay with the woman for life, but it still becomes a loveless marriage where they literally work themselves to death paying the woman. In fact, they even have a word for it; karoshi.

They are not allowed to keep the money they make, it goes to the wife who stays at home, and the man gets to keep a fraction of what he makes, in the form of an allowance. Thats right, the man is expected to give EVERYTHING he makes to the wife, and the fraction he gets to keep is his “allowance”. A typical allowance would be like $300 per month, but they are unable to save anything because they are expected to spend the rest socializing with co-workers after hours. Imagine that.

In a way their version of blue pill hell is worse than ours, i mean it literally kills them. But that is also why they have the largest proportion of MGTOW in the world. I suspect the rest of the developed world is about to follow in their footsteps; japan is always ahead of its time, especially when it comes to economic/societal collapse. But that really has nothing to do with anime.

I am very grateful for Japan. Not just for their awesome (even if blue pilled) anime, because there is an incredible amount of red pill wisdom to be gleaned their culture and heritage.

If you liked One Punch Man, I highly recommend you look at Mob Psycho 100. Story done by the same guy (pseudonym One), different artist used.
