Actually the first selection tonight is not organ at all; but its English and DAMN good. It is
The March of the Knights Templars This is a modern version of the old medieval plain chant/song used by the Knights Templars, supposedly sung as they go into battle–how I don’t know with those helmets on but here it is just the same. Its kicks ass

Next up is John Stanley and his famous Trumpet voluntary. I chose Stanley due to the proceeding work and Stanley’s position as organist at the ancient Temple Church (The church of the Templars.) Stanley was blinded at age two and went on…Well you can read it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Stanley_(composer)

And finally not to be outdone by our Templar friends in England I’m indulging myself with the Anthem of the Teutonic Order of Knights (Sorry I couldn’t help myself) Enjoy (AND as always crank up the volume so the WHOLE neighborhood can enjoy with you!

Good point Marketwacher—BUT when you listen to that tune EVEN if you never heard of the Knights Templar it makes you want to sign up and march with them. The Teutonic Knight one is a tad too Germanic for most folks I suspect.

    And thanks Tower!

On the documentaries I saw about the Templars, they never said anything about what they sung as marching.
The modern version sounds very motivating.

Like John Stanley’s trumpet voluntary much more than J.Clarke’s.

A first for me – thanks. Very Teutonic.

The Knights Templar created the first real banks and these all the way to Asia. It s how they financed their expeditions.
