Friday Night Organ is BACK!

Many thanks to all of you who expressed concern about my recent illness and recovery. Your thoughts and prayers are gratefully appreciated. In return tonight I shall reciprocate with a couple of selections that are calming, and serene.

First up is Aarnoud de Groen playing Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme”, BWV 645 upon the Organ of Bethlehemkerk, The Hague.

Next up is the haunting beauty of Jesu, meine Freude, BWV 753 played by E.Power Biggs on the Great Flentrop Organ of the Busch-Reisinger museum.

Sweet! I live on the central plains and we get these insane thunderstorms. Another system is coming our way tonight and there is nothing like running these clips through the old stereo while the thunder booms. Its wine, weed and organ after dinner tonite!

Yeah Chesterfield is in South Yorkshire near Sheffield.

Britain is full of great Organs.

The Grammar School I went to had an amazing organ for a school.
