I’m posting a little earlier in the day than usual out of consideration for our MGTOW brothers in Asia and Europe. It has been mentioned that when I post at 1500 or 1600 USA time it is the middle of the night elsewhere so this is for you guys. In keeping with my tradition Schneider is little known in the mainstream anymore to these two short works are gems–and you can DEFINITELY hear the influence of Bach.
Johann Schneider was a German organist, violinist, and composer. He was born in Oberlauter, near Coburg in Bavaria, and grew up in Saalfeld. He became a keyboard pupil of J.S. Bach’s, perhaps around 1720. In 1721 Johann Schneider became court organist and chief violinist at his home town of Saalfeld. From 1726 he was employed as a violinist in the Weimar court orchestra, and on December 23, 1729 he was appointed organist at the Nikolaikirche, Leipzig. Lorenz Mizler, writing in 1747, mentions him as a fine organist, and adds: ‘his preludes on the organ are of such good taste that in this field, except for Mr Bach, whose pupil he has been, there is nothing better to be heard in Leipzig’.
Johann Schneider: Praeludium & Fuga g-Moll played upon an Orgel von Johann Georg Schröter, 1724 St. Petri Wanderslaben.
Praeludium & Fuga in d moll, played on the same instrument.

Come on Pete. Put down the Guinness. How did you not already know that.

F~~~ing with ya bro. Brace for the weather this weekend
Thanks man! Weather is no problem. Unlike the idiots and clowns around here my house/bunker is ready for anything. When Irma hit last year and 3 million people fled the state…no me, I weathered the “100” year storm just fine. I have plenty of water, food, back up power, and guns.
You lucked out! I understand you guys never lost power! Or was that C~~~o?
Good for you broski. Probably was C~~~o. I’m all good in St Pete. Gulf side.
Peace is > piece.

Listening to these samples brought back memories of Braut’s, beer, Jaeger shots, cigar smoke and BTech in the U-Boat. Very pleasant memories for the most part, even if the actual events were often overcast with shadows.
Funny how simpler life was when we both had less than $75.00 per month on disposable cash. You’ve done “Good” Pistol Pete!
We just won’t talk about Wild Spirit however.

Another much needed learning experience. Love Bach.
