Freedom

I got this from a bass guitar forum of all places. I thought it was good enough to save. I’ll post it as it was posted, so the grammar isn’t the best but I think you’ll all see what the intent was. It wasn’t posted for me but I liked it just the same. Enjoy.

Buddy, you have a new lease on life. So many men would kill to be in your shoes at your age. You are a free man!!!!!

I have helped out a lot of people in my life and many of them ask me this one same question when they overcome their problems:

“What are you searching for in life?”

My answer is the same as it has been since I have been 18. Freedom.

I’m not talking about give me freedom or give me death, not that political boolcrap stuff. But plain old freedom. Freedom to choose. Freedom to say yes or no. Freedom to engage or disengage. Freedom to just be yourself.

Most people have this need to be with someone else and abandon this freedom at an early age. They use others as crutches in life and just go along, hobbling and wobbling their entire life. Man (women) was never meant to be held in captivity. But we are the only animals that deliberately go into a cage. Look around you. Hardly anyone exercises freedom. They all want someone else to make decisions for them. They vote for officials that care nothing about them, in hope that they will take care of them . And guess what? the officials just use them as slaves. And life just plain ol’ sucks, only most people vaguely feel it, never mind admitting it.

Dafugg????? Seriously. Call your own shots. bust out of that cage. We’re not supposed to living at others’ mercy whether it may be your wife, bank, boss, neighbor, etc etc. Sure it’s not easy fighting for your freedom. But let me tell you one thing. There are others just like me. Men, women, girls, boys, children, etc etc. You look for them, and the life will provide you with people with the same mindset. You just have to wish it.

Once you see it and get a taste for it, you’ll never look back. You will see people in a different view and you will start choosing friends. You won’t be lonely. You’ll just accept that some people don’t care about freedom. You’ll understand that it’s their choice. You can’t do anything about it. You’ll just understand it’s their life, and you have your life and freedom.

I don’t wish you luck. It’s not luck. It’s freedom. Now just go grab it. You’re finally free.

That was an excellent post Jackpine. Thanks for sharing. If I had access to this kind of information when I was 18 (1985), I think I would have made some very different choices from the ones I did.

I don't hate women. I just feel better when they're not around.
