Forgotten Birthdays and s~~~ty gifts

Ah, I had to chuckle yesterday.

The Selfish One always expected big gifts at holidays and pouted once for a full year b/c I didn’t plan along with our couples friends a travel celebration for one of her landmark birthdays.

She literally was p~~~y to me and our good friends for a solid year about that.

However, I was scum of the earth and my birthday was typically barely remembered or at best she thought of something quick and easily purchased the day of or day before if she really had her s~~~ together.

So yesterday my kids asked me to come by for my Birthday.

I get there and true to form there is a business envelope with my child’s handwriting on it and some silly cheap “coupon” for a gift and the ink is still damp from her printer.

I just had to chuckle. I’m off the plantation and her s~~~ty selfishness is no longer a worry for me. I gladly accepted the card and kissed my daughter’s cheek.

Heehee. I’m so happy to be free.

In fear of her pouting everyone jumps to her needs.

Women always had to be nice to get me to do things for them.

I feel that s~~~. Once I was given a lanyard and a poster from a 30+ year old woman. I mean wtf after a couple of years together thats all I was worth something out of a swag bag… they put no thought or consideration into others which is why noone should waste their time putting thought or consideration into them.

It’s sort an institution to fawn over women for just about any excuse of a holiday or benchmark in their life, but men always are either completely forgotten or get some sort of thoughtless junk.

I’ve also noticed it’s pretty much a divorceable offense to get a vacuum or cookware for a wife, but tools are considered a great gift for the workhorse, and they are always cheap crap that’s not even safe to use in some cases.
What the f~~~?
That should tell a man why he is in the “family” or the relations~~~.

I would rather be forgotten than be forced to pretend to enjoy the slap-in-the-face sort of “gifts” I’ve received over the years.
