This company GED.com is God awful, not only they don’t care about the people that take their test, but they also don’t care that they are a gatekeeper that keeps people poor and with out opportunities for their own personal gain….Sadly they have a stronghold in certain portions of the country.

Bottom line the Math portion of their test is set up for you to fail it on purpose, not only they take advantage of the fact most people aren’t that good at math by putting math you rarely see in high school (like geometry), they also limit the questions to 27-34 questions, basically the margin of error is much more larger than in the other subject tests that have close to 100 questions, so by having close or more than 100 questions it gives you more flexibility to get a few questions wrong with out failing the entire test, so yeah they did this so they can get more money from your REtries and more money that you pay for their classes that don’t teach you what’s on the test….Brilliant.

It’s outrageous that the system doesn’t help you at all when you are trying to do the right things, a lot of people have tried for years to get their GED from these cheap f~~~ers and haven’t, a lot of them do end up deciding to give up and stop giving them money.

I got my GED a long time ago and i decided to give my opinion so people don’t get surprised when they pass all of them except the math one “wink wink”.

Also for some odd reason people out there have come across the problem that their freshly minted GED diploma is not accepted by some few establishments out there…Oh god are we for real? LOL.

Waste of money that could buy a couple of Bahamian hookers and cheap POM juice.

I got my GED a couple months ago.

I took each subject separately. While I was registering to take the math part, the guy asked me if I’m good at math.

I said a little bit. He proceed to tell me when I’m done, don’t press the submit button, but to call him. I did exactly that. He came over, and redid the whole test for me.

Lol, I was going to fail. Thank goodness he showed compassion towards a complete stranger.

    Money is God.

Here’s more information about GED.com the website and in 2014 they were into trouble with government officials, because the amount of people that were passing the test became less that the average they sorta had years before.

    http://blogs.edweek.org/edweek/high_school_and_beyond/2018/02/GED_more_taking_but_fewer_passing_equivalency_exam_after_redesign.html

Key notes in case you don’t want to click this link.

    GED passing rates:

    2012: 69 percent
    2013: 76 percent
    2014: 59 percent
    2015: 79 percent
    2016: 80 percent
    2017: 79 percent

Number of students taking GED test:

    2012: 674,051
    2013: 816,213
    2014: 172,556
    2015: 244,569
    2016: 302,693
    2017: 300,540

“On the new General Educational Development exam, a passing score is 145 out of 200. In 2017, average scores were 154 for science, 153 for social studies. 152 for reading/language arts, and 150 for math. (The GED originally set 150 as the passing score for the redesigned exam, but lowered it when it discovered that students who hit that mark were doing better in college than high school graduates.) ”

The average nation wide for math was 150 that people scored, the average passing grade that was required for people to pass said test was also 150, which is total bs lol, most tests their lowest passing score is usually lower than the national “average” even in high school you had people passing with a D even though the middle would be a B or something like that.

They had to lower the score to 145 so they could get the government off their backs since they were being pressured, now they got c~~~y again and my friend told me that the new test is rather horrible, only 27-34 questions and you are expected to score 145 LOL, good luck.

The base passing score should be about 135 to 140 in my personal opinion.

“It wasn’t just passing rates that dropped when the new, tougher GED replaced the old one, however. Fewer students took the test, too. Increased difficulty—and a higher price tag—could have been drivers behind that drop. Competition might have been part of the reason, too.”

“Two competing high school equivalency tests made their debut as the GED was revamped, and have been gaining ground with states and students. The Educational Testing Service introduced the High School Equivalency Test, or HiSET, and McGraw-Hill Education CTB created the Test Assessing Secondary Completion, or TASC.”

From what i’ve heard the TASC and HiSET are much better than this piece of s~~~ website, take it from my friend that he still sadly has a long way with them and their trial by fire….

That was the old way of doing things, many of my friends had theirs filled by a test supervisor, in my case i failed it twice until i pressure some government officials that it wasn’t fair at all how it was back then when i took it, i convinced them and my original school sent me a full high school diploma and not a GED, ofc after i agreed not to press charges with them.

Earning a GED is proof that a man could achieve a high school diploma if schools were not anti-male s~~~holes.

It should be noted that some state colleges offer studying for GEDs for free.

Yeah but its just a piece of paper at the end of the day, you still have to bite your ass with your teeth if you want to be anyone in the work place, you still have to go to college to make something positive happen in your life and career.

Its amazing that the system is so vile to hold this piece of paper over people’s head and not even have a system of compassion that you will give the GED to those that tried and were close, but couldn’t get it.

Try not to get upset over academia. Academia has made so many enemies on so many sides that academia will likely be one of the first targets in any coming collapse of society, civil war, revolution, or invasion. Academia will be blames for create the “situation” by radicalizing people, which there is some truth to such accusations.

From such a purge of academia, jobs will move from diploma based to apprenticeships for a time until events settle down.
