What are the laws pertaining to child support and paternity like in France? What about pregnancy from a random hookup? Couples co-habitating under PACS? Or bastard children from an affair?

It has been interesting to watch Rachida Dati’s case unfold. For those who missed it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2784126/Who-s-Daddy-French-court-rules-father-Rachida-Dati-s-child-casino-mogul-refused-DNA-test.html

More practically, I am curious about the legal risks of “knocking up” a young French flower whilst on extended travels as a non-French citizen.

    fake ID.
afaik, DNA testing is outlawed if the mother does not consent ( L.O.L.) so the stakes are higher than elsewhere.
but globally yopu are fukd anyway so all i say is “fake ID”.
