I just spent at least 3-5 mins trying to think of a way to start this but suffice to say, its all been naught.
Now to get straight to the point, Im fairly certain some of you have experienced a crossroad in your life where your passion lies on one and the other has “the safe but you wont be fully happy” way.
Well, currently I am in that situation. I got a decent paying job but heck man, its tough. I dont wanna be that dude thats metaphorically dead at 30 – everything’s just mundane and has lost its color. MGTOW has taught me how to avoid one aspect of that from happening which is marriage cause we all know thats when life goes lacklustre. MGTOW has also taught me how not to spend lavishly just to “impress” some chick which leads me to say that money’s nice but I dont need much of it as long as I can live by, pay bills and afford a few luxury (movies, books, eat out etc..) – I am, basically, golden.
Just curious about your guys’ experiences and how you managed it? Did you ever regret not following your passion? Is there even a smart way of following ones passion?
Advices are always welcomed of course
Thanks as always
Don't let defeat, defeat you; Let defeat be your greatest teacher.
Anonymous43Ah yes the old road not taken dilemma,
pffft do both. Do the safe boring unhappy bulls~~~ until you make some drop dead money, then chase your dream.
I am on my third career, and working towards my fourth. once I save some cash and ditch the child support, I can go for another career.
you have to have a roof over your head,
clothes on your back,
and food to sustain you.
keep the steady money coming in,
save.
then you have some protection to follow your dream..do both if possible. day job to pay the bills, follow your dream in your free time. You don’t have to make the most money following your passion because you still have your day job to fall back on.
"He didn't marry until now, so he won't ever do it. Think about it, why would a man like him ever marry? It's too late to catch him. " ~some cunt
Do what you can so you can do what you want.
Chasing your passion will be the end of you… unless you’re incredibly lucky and have immense talent, you could bump your ass all the way to the poor house.
Instead, figure out what you’re good at then get busy doing that. Use those skills to earn a decent living and, with the extra time and money you make from it, invest in your passion and enjoy it.
If your passion ever gets to the point where it can pay your bills better than your job does, then you can give up your day gig.

I think for most humans, s~~~ gets old. This includes your passions as well. Personally, if you want to destroy your favorite passion, hobby if you will. Turn it into a job that you MUST do to earn money. Do you think you will still be as passionate about it after doing it for 40-60 hours a week year after year ? That’s even if you have the opportunity to make a living at your passion.
There’s nothing wrong with maybe pursuing your passion on a part time basis, and maybe making a few bucks along the way while you have a real job that pays the bills. I think this is what most people settle on when trying to turn their passion into a career.
Now, I’m assuming your passion isn’t something readily marketable like: art, music etc. You better keep your day job.
If your passion is carpentry, computers, or something else that is readily marketable then it’s up to you if you want to turn your passion into work.

I was stuck in that same rut about 3 years ago, and I’m in my mid 30’s.
However, I have turned my passion (most things IT) into a pretty good job. I get to travel and make a decent salary. Thing of it is, now that I am here, I have become discontent. In other words, I’m still young, and I want to see how much further I can push it.There is sound advice in the idea of keeping your day job and working on your passion in your free time. This is especially true if you want to make your passion into something that pays the bills. For me, utilizing this method actually helps to stave off depression, as I know that I am working on something that has the potential to propel me to where I would like to be. I find solace in that thought.
Long story short, if you don’t go for it now, you’re going to almost assuredly spend your later years wondering “What if”… and that benefits no one. Best of luck to ya brother!
Funny, isn't it? How women thrive on a mans time, attention and resources, while simultaneously telling him he isn't enough...
