Alimony bill clears 2nd committee in Senate

This still saddens me to know something so simple cant be sorted out,so here we go again in Flori-duh pushing alimony reform (which almost went through but vetoed because of pussy pandering governor) and these women groups are protesting the state capitol to not fix a system that they say is not broken.I found a statement in the comment section showing the resistants to alimony reform.

If u were 58 years old and married for 28 years like I was u would be against this bill. I spent 28 years helping my husband while he traveled all week for work. The first ten years I cleaned houses on the side to bring in extra money. Then I remodeled houses myself to sell and make money on. Then he bought a restaurant for me to run for five years. I worked without pay. No social security nothing. Now after 28 years he finds someone younger. He leaves me and marries her. He leaves me over a million dollars of debt. I have RA and other health problems. U still going to tell me I’m not entitled to a paycheck the rest of my life. He makes 300,000.00 a year plus his new wife’s income. So now I’m supposed to go out and beg. Get a job. Go back to school. What’s wrong with u people? This world is sick. No responsibility to anyone. Just do whatever. These men who want these bills passed r wealthy and don’t care who they hurt. My life as I knew it is over. Even my own daughter went for the money. It’s sickening. Now new wives to resent that I would want to get paid? How dare I ? Really u stole my husband. So taxpayers of Florida get ready to house and feed thousands of older women while there rich exes move on to someone younger. Go ahead don’t say a word to anyone in the Senate. Let them get away with it. When u pay your taxes remember me and remember u take care of me while my rich ex plays with his new wife and they travel the world. If u don’t stand up and call your Senators then u have it coming. Let them raise your taxes. My life is over don’t say I didn’t warn u!

This perfectly encapsulates the entitlement attitude that women have. “Karen” is bemoaning the fact that she lost her husband, after he BOUGHT HER A RESTAURANT. For f~~~’s sake.

If she was doing her job relationship-wise (and it is only females that gripe about relationships, men honestly don’t have a clue what constitutes a relationship and what doesn’t, so it’s up to women to keep it together) she would have done what it takes to keep her husband.

She lost him to a younger model. Fair game. She is not entitled to his money for her failings.

I’m just wondering how he makes 300,000 a year and they had no assets to split during the divorce, and assuming she got 1,000,000 in debt he must have took some debt with him as well.

He probably left because she was a massive failure at her restaurant and kept losing money trying to flip houses and couldn’t figure out why when tv shows made it seem so easy, and the guy realized if he didn’t cut his losses and move on he’d never get to retire.

Sorry, Karen. I find it hard to take anyone seriously if they type in ‘text speak’. U is not you and r is not are. If you are really 58, why do you type like a 19 year old on the Iphone 6 her Daddy bought her?

Girls may mature faster than men, but they sure do seem to stop sooner in most cases.

Yeah, her story is full of s~~~. He makes $300k per year but she got stuck with $1 million in debt. Oh, I’m sorry I read it again. He makes $300k per year PLUS HIS NEW WIFE’S INCOME.

So, she wants a piece of the new wife’s income too? If she makes $1 million a year then she should get all of his $300K, essentially getting alimony from the new girl? I do like that idea. Let the new girl pay off the old one, because, you know, equality.

But seriously, what f~~~ing judge is going to screw her over like that? And as Beer said, she probably caused most of the debt with her restaurant and flipping houses. Sorry your p~~~ poor choices left you with $1 million of your combined $2 million of debt. I’ll bet you anything he has just as much debt as she does.

It is amazing how women can spin the victim web. Of course, sprinkle on just a minor amount of logic and the whole thing comes crashing down.

I suspect we are not getting the complete story. (Financial picture she painted makes no sense)

I wonder if she made herself desirable- someone her husband actually wanted to be around. Or did she bitch, complain constantly and refused sex? Hmmn.

Ladies are quite expert at playing the victim card. I wish the Florida men success- but it’s tough garnishing political support when you are up against bloodthirsty feminists.

Restaurants are known to be high risk businesses.

It sounds to me like she never paid any taxes on her 10 years of house cleaning cash business. 15.x % of your salary is to be paid into the Ponzi scams known as Social Security and Medicare some of which is deductible for self employed. That’s what happens when you don’t pay your taxes. Something is very fishy about this story. Pun is intended.

Hypergamy bit her in the post wall ass. I reckon she bitched and complained 24/7.

No one gives a f~~~ about a guy living in a tool shed after his ex fleeced him of his home and property.

What I find interesting is a WOMAN is sponsoring the bill/pushing it forward:

“Its equally contentious House companion (HB 455), sponsored by Republican state Rep. Colleen Burton of Lakeland, has been cleared for the floor.”

The only reform that we need for alimony is total abolition on a federal level. It’s an institution of a by gone era held up by mentally retarded white women and female panders. I would love to see some kind of court ruling that makes this crap go away forever. It’s a stain on society at large and it stands in opposition to all the values we have today. It a form of slavery because it forcefully extracts the earning of a person and threatens their freedom, on the false pretence that women cannot earn for themselves. Just f~~~ing abolish it.

Ironic that a true action of “equality” is being fought against by those who “espouse” equality.
On a side note, funny how a new husbands income cant be used to reduce child support/alimony paid to a former wife. Yet women want to use a new wife’s income to reduce their payments to a former husband.
I hope it passes, just for the sake of equality

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
