    Been thinking about getting a flight simulator, a WWII type deal. What is the best way to go? One for the computer, or a Play Station or X box? I had one for the computer years ago from “Jane’s”. I’m sure they have come along ways since then. Have a TV with a good size screen in the basement & Surround sound too. What ‘cha think?

    PC Master Race…The compatibility, peripherals, power as well as upgradability will always trump console…Plus you get to do more esp if you are thinking of going for VR later…

    For CRAPS sakes, Video cards are STILL way the HELL out there for price thanks to the Mining that is still going on with them. We have been in the area of 4k for a LONG time now. We have CRAP TONS of CPU power, and yet.. You are paying for it.

    Any idea’s on a good video card these days? Servers systems make GREAT systems for the dollar spent, but.. The VIDEO CARD? Damn.

    1050ti is decent enough…1060 would be preferrable….or better yet wait for the prices to drop when amd releases their 7nm chips…

    The WWII ‘Janes’ combat simulator? You might want to hang on to that if you still have it. It’s now priced in the ‘unobtainable’ range if you can still find it…

    Yup, I have two Disc sets, one is called “Fighters Anthology” 1997 First edition, the other is “Ultimate Flight IV” Has 3 disks F-15, Comanche gold, and WWII Fighters. They are all “Jane’s”.
    Perhaps I should take another look at these?
    What would be the best joystick for this? I have a Saitek ST 290 Pro, but I’m not sure where the disc is to install it. Can a person get one?
    I’m no computer genious by any means, just a fat old man that likes to play “airplane”
