Came across this this afternoon and don’t remember seeing it posted here before, while obviously a controlled event and the footage being taken from what appears to be 2-3 runs of the exercise still a damned good example of robotics in action.

I’m sure they’ll have heat shields retroactively installed after some real world service, melted tracks, and blistered paint!

Still easier to fix than to revive a dead firefighter…
I think, these robots are also cooled by the water flowing through, so they do not heat up too much. (in engineering point of view, this would be the straightforward solution)

Perhaps on something like the fire shown. You will never replace the people who go in and sweep the house for people, or pets. (Yes we’ll rescue pets if we can)

On the fly decisions can’t be made by bots, nor are they as mobile. How well do they work at -20*? It’s miserable as hell, no footing, you are wet to boot. Can’t see cause if the ice on your face shield.
Traffic accidents would be a problem too. Many of us are Firefighter/EMTs…. no bot could replace that…

Wish the could, really do, it’s dangerous out there.

    One of the funniest episodes.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.
