    Hello all,

I am not new here. My first screen name was under Ryuhadoken and then Ryu88. I cancel my account twice and now I am back for good.

Back in July of last year I posted about getting fired from my accounting job in a company that is own and run by the damn Chinese. I was only there for 3 weeks and was let go for no reason. I was offer a position early January of this year and I am having issue at work. The person that hired me knows I lack the experience for this position. My boss expect me to know what to do without giving me the resources I need to get the job done. How the hell am I suppose to do my job if I have nothing to go off of? I don’t even have my own personal desk, I don’t know where all of the files goes, no paper work and I am still expected to do my job some how. How would you guy handle this situation?

    greetings..
i was in the same spot quite a few years ago.
    new hire at a company,
and the office manager ( fat c~~~),
would not help me in any way.
..i found a new job and LATER discovered that the WHALE got fired ….for not assisting me in the position i was in.
it cost the company a large amount of money in lost revenue,
because she FAILED to actually do her job.
HA HA ..karma for the whale.
    .
not sure if that helped you at all..

My new boss is a male. My coworker is currently helping me now and so far she has been great. She knows what is going on and is backing me up. She is an older lady that is apart of our small team. He has not been at his position that long and still learning himself. I am currently looking for work. I am afraid he might fired me. What excuse should I use for job hunting after only one month? Thanks

have your resume updated and if it were me,
i would be as close to honest as possible..
like” great place and team there,
but i am looking for something more challenging”.
    .
do NOT take only my advice,
there are men here FAR more qualified..
give them a chance to reply..

“Well, the team i work with is great, and the work is engaging. But it’s a matter of bad timing – as soon as i walked in the door the leadership team announced that they’re looking at strategic options for all divisions. And i know that, being the new hire, i would be the first to be let go. So while the company is looking at options, i need to be doing the same.”

I think you’re probably wrong that he’s going to fire you. Unless he was specifically hired to “clean house”, he has minimal incentive to fire people. New managers very rarely get that kind of power. Someone (who has been at the company longer) hired you for a reason. For this new guy to come in & start undoing those hiring decisions is extremely bad form. Not saying it doesn’t happen; i’m just saying it’s pretty rare.

It’s good to see you again. Welcome back.

You don’t need an excuse for that. It’s only your job to give a company good reasons for them to want to work with you, but it’s THEIR job to give you reasons to want to work for them & remain there. You think loyalty is a virtue still? Guess again. They won’t hesitate to axe you when profits dip 10% even if you worked there for 8/10 years.

Create as many opportunities for yourself as you can. Nobody else will.
    No excuse needed.

If they won’t give you what you need, grab it by the sack and TAKE what you need to get the job done.

Think: “I need X + Y + Z to get the job done. How can I achieve/facilitate this most efficiently?”

TELL them (don’t ask): “I would be most grateful if you could provide…… “

Don’t talk about the problem like you’re lost. Bring them the solution and eliminate the question marks whenever possible. You can be more demanding than you think.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Thank you. I have asked him to provide me what I need with no success. He some how expect me to know what to do. Apparently, he wants me to pull work out of thin air and do them. He said this to my coworker, ” it is work, just do it”. What am I to do if there is nothing for me to work with. My personal work computer is not even mines. I have to share it with someone else.

Thank you. I hope I am wrong too, but will search for a new job anyway. I work directly for him so he does have the power to let me go. My coworker has been at the company for quite sometime and she has my back so he probably won’t do anything. She has call him out on his s~~~ already so I think I am good for now.

@mattnyc I messed up your quote. Sorry about that.

    Welcome back.

    Stealthy School of Business….

    OWN YOUR JOB.

Come out of the gate like a f~~~ing marine. F~~~ 40 hours. Get into overdrive and own the place. Six months of 12 hour days.

Zero talking in the office, but be polite, smile and address others resoectfully always.

Ask questions and create a learning and documented workflows folder for all to see.

Be formal, hard working and quiet.

    ZERO BITCHING

YOU ONLY MAKE THE PLACE BETTER…NEVER TEAR IT OR OTHERS DOWN.

My pal is now a director with my views, strategies and tactics.

NICE BIG QUIET CLARK KENT MGTOW B~~~~…

    Never fails.

Money falls from the sky. 30 years of this. Works.

+1 to that. Never bitch. Only ever be the nice helpful guy. Want to help go out of your way to help say nice things about people even when they are s~~~.

Best way to integrate and get up to speed would be to email your boss stating what your challenges are. This isn’t a statement of your inability, its you nicely pointing out that you not being managed properly.

Don’t copy HR just yet but if it doesn’t improve, have a friendly chat with the HR person. They will approach your bosses superior for you.

    Hope that helps!
