Do you ever watch movies or read books that deliver a clear message that you can completely relate to?

Ok so a couple of nights a ok I was chilling at home and “American Beauty” came on staring Kevin Spacey. A fed up husband who has lived a life working in a job he hates and being told what to do by his bitch wife who is out riding c~~~. He quits his job, buys the car he wants and starts to work out in the garage and do things HE wants to do! A bullet in the head ends his life.

I also watched “Leaving Las Vegas” starring Nicolas Cage. His bitch wife left him and took his son away. He was destroyed, was sacked from his job so he took off to Las Vegas. He had company from a prostitute while he drunk himself to death.

What do these films have in common? The man on both occasions ends up dying because women messed them up. Best just to keep them out of your lives.

I would encourage you to read books on stoicism and self reliance OP. More than A thousand years before modern distractions it was easier for people to understand the fleeting nature of our materialistic world. That which you accomplish is only related to how you self actualize. The biggest part of taking the red pill in my opinion is to realize that we all walk our own path in life, determined only by our intellect and determination.

(Admittedly I take Emerson with a grain of salt)

Similiarly, Plato’s “Allegory of the cave” is an important study on the same idea; your education and the formation of the healthy ego directly effect your ability to perceive the world for what it is. That seems to be the nature of the red pill, looking beyond the ideas imposed upon you by a society that never presents an alternative. In fact, the subjects in that allegory are slaves – a perfect metaphor for men in current society.
