Initially I saw the preview to this documenterary in 3D in the theatres and it blew my mind. For those who havent heard of it: it is the documenterary/true story of a man who placed a tight rope between the two world trade centers and spent an hour walking across them.
I love biographies/documenteraries/true stories of great men who have accomolished great things. But this one was lacking in my opinion. Anyone see it? Thoughts?
Any reccomendations for good bios or documenteraries is appreciated.
Resident cynic.
I wanted to watch it AW but I would get vetigo just watching that, can’t believe a guy did that, for an hour as well,b~~~~ on that dude.I like men doing great deeds too.
I did see “soaked in bleach” which is a eye opener to all men, another talented man cut down in his prime, interesting because the private dick still has all the audio tapes from the four days before Kurt Cobains death(not suicide ).Watched it four times but hey off topic, will try and watch Man on a wire.Ha! I hear you on the vertigo. I get it sometimes myself. The film was the opposite though: not enough good shots.
Speaking of vertigo. Check out this picture of pro skateboarding kids on a helicopter pad on top of a highrise in Dubai:
Notice the hotel security in suits, and fellow skater friends all standing in a circle around the outskirts to catch them if something goes wrong. Insane. If you watch the helicopter view on video if this its just nuts. I got vertigo watching it.
I was trying to find a youtube video clip of it but couldnt. The video is insane.

Now that just makes me feel ill,:-)
I would be down on my knees in the middle and they would have to blindfold me to get me off .XD
Not afraid of flying though, weird, something about being near the edge ,gulp
And yes I did notice the dudes near the edge with their backs turned to the edge, yyikesYou couldn’t pay me enough to do that.
What goes on in a persons mind when they fall?I never understood why someone would commit suicide that way, I’d choose overdose or exhaust.
What goes on in a suicidal person when they fall, it’s not like they can have second thoughts about it on the way down. That sudden stop is the worst part.
You can't reason with unreasonable, there; women, figured out, there is nothing to reason.
I know right Megatoad69……..and a woman recently jumped from one of these very buildings from a viewing level, she squeezed out between the glass panels and just fell (suicide)
hope link works,148 floors up……..
Its insane when you think you can die sitting in a chair with a piece of rope ………dont get it

I think its the same building these skaters are on…….tallest building in the worldLooks like an awesome movie, some biographies I enjoyed recently:
The Big Blue- based on the lives of free divers Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca. It was loosely based but still a good movie.
John Adams- fantastic
"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."
You couldn’t pay me enough to do that. What goes on in a persons mind when they fall?

That sudden stop is the worst part.A jump survivor (golden gate bridge) expressed his thoughts after he jumped. Immediately after he jumped, he said he realized that all his problems had solutions except for he had just jumped.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.
It probably has the effect of clearing your mind and having rational thought, too little, too late, for most people.
If I wanted to off myself, I’d just git ‘er done, none of this, ‘welp, here comes the ground’.
I want to die laughing, or in my sleep.
