Saw a funny ad online on a buy, swap and sell trading site that went along the lines of –

‘Not selling but have a room to rent to a FIFO (Fly-in-fly-out mine) worker. Prefer a male FIFO worker as us women get bitchy and need our space. I am a single mother and you will be sharing the house with me and my two well-behaved kids. $120 a week, share food when you are home and help with odd jobs around the acreage.’

I thought to myself, wow, all the perks of marriage in this deal – hand over cash, put up with a menstrual woman and a house full of kids and no sex! What a deal. Yet another delusional ‘independent’ snowflake collecting child-support and welfare who needs a man’s money and his utility of heavy lifting, yard-work and domestic repairs. Proves they are never happy and always looking for the next walking wallet.

What White-Knight mangina would agree to this after two weeks of hard, dirty yakka ‘down-the-hole’ only to fly home to a grumpy woman and her two kids and a list of ‘man jobs’? Funny how she isn’t looking for a female 9-to-5er flatmate – preferring a man who is away most of the time, earns good $$$ and can do all the outdoor yardwork (too lazy to use a mower and whipper-snipper or pay for Jim’s Mowing).

I own my own house and don’t rent out rooms, but the room-to-let listings I see online have a price-range anywhere between $100 and $220 a week depending on the suburb, the quality of the house and whether electricity and internet are included.

That said, the average miner here in Australia earns about $85,000 a year so paying an extra $30 to $60 a week NOT to fly home to a welfare dependent snowflake, her two kids and a list of ‘man jobs’ would be a wise investment in the interests of male peace and sanity.
