400k per year lawyer saves his money

    Financial Independence / Retire Early….

The funny thing in that article is “My previous ex-girlfriend never really got on-board. Her concept of what I was doing was being cheap and depriving myself and her,” he said.

    OF COURSE SHE DIDN’T !!!!

Women are programmed to seek out financial /material benefit for themselves (from men). If you’re not spending there is nothing there for women…. Haha ! They are always true to form.

His identity is not disclosed ‘for privacy reasons’. Sounds like he stipulated that in order to avoid being pursued by gold diggers and #METOO artists.

Cool. I hope he still is enjoying himself though… no sense in saving all that money for no reason. Unless he enjoys his lifestyle, then good for him.

That’s the funny thing about getting rich, you do it by acting like you’re not rich. There’s always something else to buy, the key is not buying it. His girlfriend couldn’t understand that concept.

I still have checks, so I must still have money.

You nailed the point: money is NOT for buying stuff.

People,(especially women)never fully understand the Utility of money. If you think making a lot of money is the answer to life’s problems, then you don’t understand money.
    I’ll try to clarify:
I have had jobs in my earlier life than made me more money than my current job, yet I am happier now than I was then. The problem is that I didn’t understand what money actually is. I spent money like it was water, never caring because I knew I was practically guaranteed to make more money. THing is: Nothing lasts forever, and the money spigot stopped.
The more money you have; the bigger your bills and expenses get. (this is why money does not buy happiness)
Ask a PRO athlete, or a Movie Star,…..
4 Million dollar home,…(not a ranch home in the burbs)
you aren’t there, you are busy fulfilling your contract that PAYS you the money you have.
    SO,
    You needa housekeeper
    Landscaper
    Manager/Agent
    Accountant
    Private Lawyer
    Body Guard(s)
Fitness Trainer (to help you lose those pounds you gained eating expensive food/drink)
Driver (Cops just looooove famous ppl!!)
Theres an e-z 1/2 Mill there, lol

    F*ck that noise !!!
I am NOT saying it is better to be dirt poor,(been there too);it is best to have just enough money to be able to live comfortable, and still be able to treat yourself to something nice every so-often.
If living minimalist makes you happy,….. so be it!
I guess what I am trying to say is personal contention comes from a good sense of self-worth. There are many ways to find that; not just in seeking money/riches.

I like the END of the movie, CASINO.
DeNiro’s character after running the casino, and all the bling/fame/women/money that came with it; seems just as happy being a small-time bookie. Doing what he loves and making for himself!

Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)

    Yes.

A friend of mine used to run a domestic cleaning business. He had clients with expensive houses, but who were hardly there because of the hours they worked. Expensive kitchens were unused except for the microwave. They had freezers full of prepack frozen meals.

He said ‘Why? What’s it all for, when you don’t sleep properly or eat a decent meal?’.
